The Morning After the Feast.

After celebrating the completion of our barn with drinks and music, I woke to Charles informing me that Uncle had been taken by the Skinners. We tracked his trail to tall trees, left our horses behind to avoid detection, and silently took out the Skinner lookouts guarding the woods.

It looked like our barn was almost ready, and surprisingly, it seemed like Uncle was working on it himself, which felt completely unreal. But as I took a closer look, I realized I was wrong. I actually found Charles working hard on the barn while Uncle was just resting right below him.

Our next mission started with Uncle as I approached him. John was happy having the house and the barn completed, so he thanked both Uncle and Charles for their efforts. Uncle said it was time to drink, and they all started drinking to celebrate their success.

Before long, they were singing, dancing, and having a great time inside the house. Thy ended up playing around drunk outside, doing all sorts of silly things, until they eventually passed out after playing around for hours.

The next morning, Charles called out to John to bring me outside, mentioning that Uncle was gone. At first, John didn't feel like getting up, but Charles was insistent, so he finally came out, thinking the old man would be fine on his own.

However, Charles said it was the Skinners who took Uncle, meaning he definitely wasn't safe. He had picked up some tracks, and knowing this could easily be a trap, I knew we still had to go after Uncle.

Charles tracked them down toward the road. John realized they should have been ready, but we had forgotten all about the danger while having their drinks the night before. Following the path, we noticed blood on the road, indicating they had headed up toward Tall Trees. At least I hoped Uncle was still in one piece.

Charles mentioned that if things were really bad, this might not even be about saving him anymore, but rather relieving him to stop the pain. He knew how brutal the Skinners could be.

Suddenly, Charles stopped and told me to hold up so we could talk. He thought the Skinners might have seen us coming, so we decided to continue on foot, leaving our horses hidden among the trees.

Moving deeper into the forest, I spotted some people up ahead. They didn't look like typical Skinners to me at first, but as we got closer, I confirmed they were indeed Skinner lookouts.

Charles suggested we should've taken them out quietly without letting the others detect us. I decided to use my bow and arrows for the job. Aiming carefully, I took one of the lookouts down, while Charles seamlessly eliminated the other.

Here I'm finishing the post for today, and I'll talk about more special RDR 2 gaming moments in Gaming Photography.

I laughed when it looked like Uncle was finally working, only to realize he was doing exactly what Uncle always did... absolutely nothing.

The way you and Charles silently took down those two lookouts was perfect. The bow and arrow takedown combined with Charles' stealth kill, made the rescue mission very easy.

Watching everyone celebrate with drinks and music was such a nice break before the game reminded that happiness never lasts long. The party was too peaceful to last.

That celebration went chaotic real quick. Everyone was celebrating the new barn, and the next morning Uncle had been kidnapped by the Skinners.
