Since I didn't want to take it easy, I decided to start strong. No timid warm-ups: we went straight to muscle-ups to activate my entire body. Once I was warmed up, I decided bodyweight wasn't enough. I added 10 kilos of weight and we went all out on my back:
8 reps with a pronated grip (well-defined).
8 reps with a wide grip (for that full range of motion).
8 reps with a supinated grip (to finish powerfully).
I swear, the pump in my lats was insane. There's something about weighted training that makes you feel like you're really progressing.
Pero la cosa no terminó ahí. Todavía tenía demasiada energía acumulada, así que decidimos "joder" un rato con los sacos de boxeo. Fue una mezcla de diversión y cardio intenso; tirar unos golpes siempre ayuda a soltar cualquier estrés pendiente.
Para rematar la faena, me subí a la caminadora. Quería terminar de agotar las reservas de energía que me quedaban. Me hubiera encantado grabarles un video o tomar algunas fotos de la sesión, pero entre que no tenía dónde apoyar el teléfono y el riesgo real de salir volando de la caminadora si intentaba un "selfie" en movimiento, preferí priorizar mi integridad física jaja
Al final, salí del gimnasio cansado pero con la mente clarísima. A veces, cambiar de ambiente y probar zonas nuevas aunque no seas fan de la disciplina principal de ese lugar es justo lo que necesitas para romper la monotonía.

But it didn't end there. I still had way too much pent-up energy, so we decided to mess around with the punching bags for a while. It was a mix of fun and intense cardio; throwing a few punches always helps release any pent-up stress.
To finish things off, I hopped on the treadmill. I wanted to completely burn off my remaining energy reserves. I would have loved to record a video or take some photos of the session, but between not having anywhere to prop up my phone and the very real risk of flying off the treadmill if I tried to take a moving selfie, I decided to prioritize my physical well-being, haha.
In the end, I left the gym tired but with a crystal-clear mind. Sometimes, changing your environment and trying new areas, even if you're not a fan of the main discipline there, is just what you need to break the monotony.
