Un amor que supera los límites (Parte 2) (Esp/Eng)

Continúa la historia.

Alexa quedo conmocionada al leer aquella carta que su amado le escribió, la carta decía lo siguiente:

--Amada mía sabes muy bien que te amo muchisimo pues siempre te lo he demostrado y sé tambien que tú sientes lo mismo por mí, sin embargo, me entristece que tus padres no acepten nuestra relación y que consideren que no soy suficiente para tí; por esa razón lo he estado pensando muy bien y tras varios días sin poder dormir; he tomado una drástica decisión, lamento el dolor que esto te causará pero creo que es lo mejor para los dos.

He decidido viajar un tiempo lejos de casa; con la finalidad de prepararme; estudiaré y trabajaré duro para poder darte una mejor vida y quizás tus padres finalmente me acepten y me permitan casarme contigo.

Te amo tanto porque eres una mujer dulce y sencilla y aunque fuiste criada en una familia de altos recursos y desde pequeña has difrutado de grandes cosas, me has dejado saber que lo material no es importante para tí y que estás dispuesta a dejar todas las comodidades que te ofrece tu familia si es necesario, y un amor así de desinteresado no se encuentra en cualquier lugar.

Sin embargo sé que mereces ser feliz y disfrutar de las mismas comodidades a mi lado, y aunque no nos veremos en un tiempo, te prometo que mi amor por tí seguirá intacto y no habrá nada ni nadie que pueda cambiarlo, pero quiero saber si tu de igual modo estarás de acuerdo en esperarme el tiempo que sea necesario hasta el día en que yo pueda volver y tenga algo bueno que ofrecerte; y creo que solo así tendré el valor suficiente para hablar con tus padres y pedir tu mano.

Te amo demasiado mi adorada Alexa y espero obtener una respuesta de tu parte lo antes posible.

Despues de leer la carta Alexa se hallaba triste, confundida y a su vez muy molesta, ya que ambos habian conversado respecto a ese tema y acordaron en que nunca se separarian sin importar lo que pasara, y que lucharian juntos por aquel amor tan grande que se tenian. Ahora Miguel había roto aquella promesa y Alexa no podía parar de llorar, se encerro en su habitación y no quería conversar con nadie, ni siquiera con sus padres, pues creía que ellos eran los culpables de que Miguel haya decidido marcharse lejos.

Había pasado una semana y Miguel se hallaba muy triste y preocupado por no tener noticia de Alexa, pues ella no quería verlo. Ya estaba desesperado por verla y decidió ir personalmente a su casa con la esperanza de poder hablar con ella. Se montó en su caballo y se dirigió hasta allá.

Nervioso e intrigado se dirigía hacia la puerta y tocó el timbre y de inmediato el padre de Alexa quien ya lo había observado por la ventana decidió abrir la puerta, el joven Miguel al verlo quedó pasmado ya que Don Alejandro Reyes (padre de Alexa) era un hombre rudo y difícil de convencer; de inmediato le dijo a Miguel:

-Sé muy bien que te trae por aquí y créeme no quiero que hables con mi hija y ni siquiera que te acerques a ella, porque tu eres el culpable de que Alexa esté en la situación en la que se encuentra; lleva días sin querer comer y no quiere hablar con nadie, y aunque no sabemos con certeza que tiene, imaginamos que tiene que ver contigo, pero solo por esta vez iré a su habitación a preguntarle si quiere hablar contigo y si su respuesta es sí, te permitiré que hables con ella y no lo hago por tí si no por ella porque me entristece verla así.

-Miguel: Claro señor como usted diga.

Don Alejandro se dirige de inmediato a la habitación de su hija y le toca la puerta pero tras varios intentos Alexa no responde y su padre se preocupa muchísimo e intenta abrir la puerta pero está se encuentra cerrada con llave, de inmediato le pasan muchas cosas por su cabeza y sin perder tiempo corre al encuentro de Priscila quien se hallaba en la cocina preparando el desayuno y le grita desesperado:

¡Priscila, Priscila! consigueme rápido la llave de habitación de Alexa por favor.

-Priscila responde: Sí amor aqui la tengo pero dime que está pasando.

Don Alejandro sin dar respuesta corre hacia la habitación de su hija pensando en que algo malo pudo haberle pasado, desesperado la llave se le cae y sus manos están temblorosas y Miguel quien ha estado oyendo todo tambien corre hacia la habitación de su amada al llegar él a la habitación de Alexa ya la puerta estaba abierta y escucha al padre de Alexa llorando, al acercarse más ve a su amada acostada en la cama pero se halla inconsciente y sin saber con certeza lo que le ocurre Miguel la toma y corren hacia el auto de Don Alejandro para llevarla al médico; prenden el auto y se dirigen con rapidez al hospital más cercano.

Al llegar, los médicos se llevan a la joven Alexa de emergencia a examinarla mientras su familia y Miguel esperan afuera muy preocupados y su madre llora desconsoladamente pues teme perder a su amada hija.

Ya pasada una hora aún no les han dado razón de la joven y la angustia aumenta. Miguel está muy triste y se dice así mismo que nunca se lo perdonará si algo malo le sucede a su amada Alexa y se siente muy culpable por ello.

Una hora más tarde llega el Doctor y ellos corren de inmediato a preguntarle por Alexa, y el Doctor les dice:

Tardó bastante en reaccionar ya que la joven se hallaba en un estado bastante complicado, sus niveles se hallan por el suelo, por lo visto llevaba muchos días sin comer y ha estado ingeriendo píldoras antidepresivas en cantidad pues ella misma nos comentó al despertar, pudo haber muerto, pero por fortuna la tratamos a tiempo. Ya está estable y pueden pasar a verla.

Gracias doctor responde Priscila aliviada y mira a Miguel y le dice, primero pasaremos a verla nosotros y luego si quieres puedes pasar tú.

Miguel responde:
Claro que sí señora esperaré aquí.
Los padres de Alexa pasan a verla y la abrazan de inmediato y su padre con lágrimas en los ojos le dice:

¡Ay hijita mía creí que te había perdido! perdoname por no tomar en cuenta tus sentimientos y ser tan duro contigo. En el tiempo que estuve fuera del hospital solo pensaba en que deseaba devolver el tiempo y que las cosas resultaran de otra manera; jamás me perdonaría que algo malo te pase.

-Alexa lo abraza y le dice perdoname tu a mí padre sé muy bien que solo quieres lo mejor para mí, sin embargo les confieso que estuve muy molesta porque pensé que si perdía a Miguel era por culpa de ustedes porque no lo aceptaban en mi vida y yo solo deseaba morir.

Priscila su madre tambien la abraza y le dice: Si hija perdónanos por favor, ya tu padre y yo conversamos de eso y hemos decidido que de ahora en adelante respetaremos tus decisiones y si tu felicidad está al lado de ese chico, pues ya no vamos a meternos mas en la relación de ustedes y haremos lo posible por llevarnos bien con Miguel y su familia pues tu y tu hermano son lo mas importante en nuestra vida y deseamos verlos felices.

Alexa no lo podía creer su estado de animo mejoró muchísimo y se recuperó muy rápido, ya era feliz nuevamente y deseaba ver pronto a Miguel y comentarle lo que sus padres acababan de decirle; ella aún no sabía que Miguel se hallaba afuera esperando para verla.

The story continues.

Alexa was shocked when she read the letter that her beloved wrote to her, the letter read as follows:

My beloved you know very well that I love you very much because I have always shown it to you and I also know that you feel the same for me, however, it saddens me that your parents do not accept our relationship and that they consider that I am not enough for you; for that reason I have been thinking about it very well and after several days without being able to sleep; I have taken a drastic decision, I am sorry for the pain that this will cause you but I think it is the best for both of us.

I have decided to travel away from home for a while; in order to prepare myself; I will study and work hard to be able to give you a better life and maybe your parents will finally accept me and allow me to marry you. I love you so much because you are a sweet and simple woman and although you were raised in a family of high resources and since you were little you have enjoyed great things, you have let me know that material things are not important to you and that you are willing to leave all the comforts that your family offers you if necessary, and such a selfless love is not found just anywhere.

However I know that you deserve to feel comfortable and happy by my side, and although we will not see each other for a while, I promise you that my love for you will remain intact and there will be nothing and nobody that can change it, but I want to know if you will be willing to wait for me as long as it is necessary until the day I can come back and have something good to offer you; and I believe that only then I will have enough courage to talk to your parents and ask for your hand.

I love you too much my beloved Alexa and I hope to get an answer from you as soon as possible.

After reading the letter Alexa was sad, confused and at the same time very upset, since they both had talked about it and agreed that they would never separate no matter what happened, and that they would fight together for the great love they had for each other. Now Miguel had broken that promise and Alexa could not stop crying, she locked herself in her room and did not want to talk to anyone, not even her parents, because she believed that they were to blame for Miguel's decision to leave.

A week had passed and Miguel was very sad and worried about not hearing from Alexa, because she did not want to see him. He was already desperate to see her and decided to go to her house in person in the hope of being able to talk to her. He got on his horse and rode there.

Nervous and intrigued he went to the door and rang the bell and immediately Alexa's father who had already observed him through the window decided to open the door, young Miguel was astonished to see him since Don Alejandro Reyes (Alexa's father) was a rude and difficult man to convince; he immediately told Miguel:

I know very well what brings you here and believe me I don't want you to talk to my daughter and I don't even want you to go near her, because you are the one to blame for Alexa being in the situation she is in; she hasn't wanted to eat for days and she doesn't want to talk to anyone, and although we don't know for sure what she has, we imagine it has to do with you, but just this once I will go to her room to ask her if she wants to talk to you and if her answer is yes, I will allow you to talk to her and I am not doing it for you but for her because it makes me sad to see her like this.

-Miguel: Of course, sir, as you say.

Don Alejandro immediately goes to his daughter's room and knocks on the door but after several attempts Alexa does not answer and her father gets very worried and tries to open the door but it is locked, immediately many things go through his mind and without wasting time he runs to meet Priscila who was in the kitchen preparing breakfast and shouts desperately:

Priscila, Priscila! get me Alexa's room key quickly please.

-Priscila replies: Yes love, I have it here, but tell me what is going on.

Don Alejandro without giving an answer runs to his daughter's room thinking that something bad could have happened to her, desperately he drops the key and his hands are trembling and Miguel who has been hearing everything also runs to his beloved's room when he arrives to Alexa's room the door was already open and he hears Alexa's father crying, when he gets closer he sees his beloved lying on the bed but she is unconscious and without knowing for sure what is happening to her Miguel takes her and they run to Don Alejandro's car to take her to the doctor; They start the car and rush to the nearest hospital.

Upon arrival, the doctors take the young Alexa to the emergency room to examine her while her family and Miguel wait outside very worried and her mother cries inconsolably because she is afraid of losing her beloved daughter.

An hour has passed and they still have not been given a reason for the girl's death and the anguish increases. Miguel is very sad and tells himself that he will never forgive himself if something bad happens to his beloved Alexa and he feels very guilty about it.

An hour later the Doctor arrives and they immediately run to ask him about Alexa, and the Doctor tells them:

It took quite a long time to react because the young woman was in a very complicated state, her levels are at the floor, apparently she had not eaten for many days and she had been taking antidepressant pills in quantity because she herself told us when she woke up, she could have died, but fortunately we treated her in time. She is now stable and you can come in to see her.

Thank you doctor," answers Priscila relieved and looks at Miguel and says, "first we will go to see her and then if you want you can come in.

Miguel replies:
Of course ma'am I will wait here.
Alexa's parents come to see her and hug her immediately and her father, with tears in his eyes, tells her:

Oh my little daughter, I thought I had lost you! Forgive me for not taking your feelings into account and for being so hard on you. During the time I was out of the hospital all I could think about was that I wanted to make up for the time and for things to turn out differently; I would never forgive myself if something bad happened to you.

-Alexa hugs him and tells him to forgive me, I know very well that you only want the best for me, however I confess that I was very upset because I thought that if I lost Miguel it was your fault because you did not accept him in my life and I just wanted to die.

Priscila, her mother also hugs her and says: "Yes, daughter, please forgive us, your father and I have already talked about it and we have decided that from now on we will respect your decisions and if your happiness is with that boy, then we will not get involved in your relationship anymore and we will do our best to get along with Miguel and his family because you and your brother are the most important thing in our life and we want to see you happy.

Alexa could not believe it, her mood improved a lot and she recovered very quickly, she was happy again and wanted to see Miguel soon and tell him what her parents had just told her; she still did not know that Miguel was outside waiting to see her.
