Apocalyptic Homesteading (Day 1231)

Hello Everyone!

A mellow day, Shuffling the buckets around, A nice soak in the tub & Washing more laundry!

Alright, I am running twenty minutes behind schedule with my writing routine this evening... and am still feeling a bit groggy to boot. All of which is because I wound up taking a late day nap... and yup I once again kept putting off getting up (and doing my late day chores) until around thirty minutes before sunset.

Last night I got to bed relatively early and got some good rest... which was really surprising considering how much I had already slept throughout the day. I am unsure exactly when I awoke this morning... but it was rather early so I started my day much like many others by doing my Hive engagement routine first.

By early afternoon I got outdoors and got all the buckets that are on the deck emptied out, grouped together... and their lids put back on them. I mainly wanted to get them out of the sun... but I also wanted to get the lids back on them because I noticed that there were a lot of blossoms and pollen collecting in them.

After all that jazz I decided to listen to some music... and try to relax some in an effort to just 'enjoy the day' but overall I was not all that into it. Even though that strategy was not all that successful... at least I gave it some effort and of course listening to some music is always nice.

I had considered having a fire... but did not want to create a bunch of work for myself by first having to gather firewood... and then having to tend a fire. I am really glad that I skipped that... because not all that long after toying with the idea the wind picked up... and it kept randomly gusting throughout the remainder of day.

At some point I decided to get a hot bath and this time I was extra cautious when cleaning the tub out... in case there were any snakes lurking under it. That last encounter sure left quite the 'mark' on me in that regard... and I even double check beneath the tub between the point in which I clean it out... and when I begin filling it with water again.

Per usual the bath was really nice and I used the hot water afterwards to soak (wash) a bunch of clothes that I had piled on the deck. Basically, each day that I have been doing anything gross with the packing (and the cleaning up of vermin waste) I have been piling up my laundry (on the deck) at the end of the day instead of wearing it again.

Anyways, the day was not super productive... but I did manage to stay busy until late in the day when I began feeling quite fatigued (right after taking a bath) which is when I zonked out for that nap. I kind of feel like I should have gotten more done today... but heck I feel like that most days so go figure.

Well, I think that I am going to keep this entry short and sweet and get on with my evening. I hope that everyone is doing well. Ta ta for now.

Even more leaves have been pooping out on the black locust saplings!

Time is going by fast, stop procrastinating and get things done, I say this with love. You will feel better once you get everything in order and when you get to the new place having everything clean will be a huge bonus. I understand it is a lot to do and is overwhelming but you need to get it done. Waiting until the last minute is a trait you get from your Mom, don't do it, it causes stress where stress has no place.

LOL I am pretty far ahead already and in no way 'waiting until the last minute' with any of it.

Good, I was worried. It is hard to tell by your posts. I wish I could be there to help or just to hold your hand.
