I have been hearing podcast ads for Δ8-THC, because apparently Δ9 is the specific compound identified in a lot of legislation. I have occasionally had CBD chocolates, but don't much care for being drunk or high, so despite access to legal weed in Washington state, I haven't really taken advantage of it. I would like to experiment with hemp as a baking ingredient, but I don't need to be gluten-free, and alternative flours can be a pain to use.

As far as I know, you can't get high from hemp, but you can get high CBD hemp for use without the effects of THC. CBD is the important anti-viral compound, and for anti-viral effect, it should be used without heating it. It's best used as a tincture or an oil infusion for that purpose.
