Getting Ready To Fill This Balik Bayan Box

This is what we call a balik bayan box which is just an ordinary box where you put your things to ship overseas. Although we are no longer in the Philippines I love using that term for a box because I feel close to home and family back there. It is September already, I can imagine my dad putting up the Christmas tree while the rest are busy cleaning and preparing. Yes that is how Filipinos start with the Christmas season : very early. Hence, the ber months. Imagine having that Christmas feeling three months before December 🎄🎄🎄😁. I love this season and I badly miss it and my family.

Today I am starting to fill this box with lots of gifts and once filled I will send it to my family in the Philippines. There are some Christmas wish lists that were sent to me via messenger chat as early as September and the two below are just some of them

Here I am making sure the spare laptop I have here is working before putting it in. My brother needs a replacement for his old one.

This is the easiest item on the list, baking stuff for my sister. I also bought some shoes and clothes but the popular request are canned goods because of the pandemic people can't go out to shop and even if there is online shopping, delivery is restricted in some areas.
