Manhattan Mid-Town's Lime Fish

Do you know what comes after staying up late at night and waking up so late in the morning? (It's my holiday the next day, anyway) It's my tummy craving for yummy food. The feast came to an end along with the holiday season. However, I'm going to focus on being fit and healthy this year. I want to avoid fast food as much as possible, yet I also want to taste various culinary flavors.

I walked to Manhattan Mid-Town last Sunday to look for a restaurant that I hadn't been to before, hoping to find a new culinary flavor, something Asian, with rice. I can't live without rice!

Although I saw this restaurant before, I haven't tried eating there yet. So, why not give it a go? I might find great Asian food inside.

When you read the name, did you anticipate lime fish cuisine? However, I was hoping to find dishes that included lime. But lime fish isn't everything about its name. Fresh Asian dishes like Thai, Vietnamese, and Singaporean are available at this restaurant. I hope they served Filipino food, though.

My first impression was great, from the food menu to its rustic country interior design. There's a sense of homey and cozy rural vibe with its natural vintage accents and relaxed atmosphere.

I like the simplicity and authenticity of the place which makes it inviting to diners with the vibe of a country space. Its wooden tables and chairs, wooden walls and ceilings, iron fixtures and hanging lamps, country signs, and warm colors give a harmonious and tranquil ambiance.

IMG_20240107_155520.jpg

The captivating part is the wall frame full of colorful cylindrical bottles, which I initially thought were liquors. However, upon looking at them intently, it came to my sense that they weren't liquors, but different Asian spices and herbs preserved in those cylindrical bottles. The arrangement of colors complements the space well.

Wooden utensils boxes with Cafedo Brasil. Does it mean it's made in Brazil?

IMG_20240107_151235.jpg

The drink came first. It's hot lemon tea in a stainless steel cup.

A moment later, my food was served in a hot clay pot on a wooden tray. It's baked lemongrass chicken in Thai coconut-style sauce. Its enticing look made me want to dig in right away. Any Asian cuisine cooked in coconut sauce is truly my liking. They reminded me of Filipino dishes in other styles of cooking.

Foods here take a while to be served as they are freshly made using different Asian spices made by the chef. With the relaxing ambiance, I wouldn't mind waiting. The food was great! As you look at it, you might think the topping is cheese. But I truly tasted coconut in every bite. I mixed the sauce with the rice, and the taste was even more amazing.

It's been a while since I visited a good restaurant, and I felt content that day. Good food for the tummy is life!

The decoration of the restaurant is quite decent and I liked it very much.

In case of food it's looking delicious but I think I haven't tasted that kind of food.

This restaurant is absolutely stunning! Is it actually a restaurant or something else? The design gives off a charming cafe or pub bistro vibe. It has definitely captured my attention.😍

Eating healthy while exploring new flavors is almost rare but doable, I don't know much about Asian food, the most common is sushi what a cliche right? so silly 😅, recently I found in my city a Korean food restaurant and here are not many that I would like to try, I don't know if you can recommend me a menu

I love the open spacious look. The wall of spices is cool and I intially thought it was liqueur. I don't believe I have seen that before in a restaurant. I too have some food goals of trying some new cuisines this year. I too need to kick the fast food or at least limit it.

That Thai cuisine plate looks so yummy 😋

Good food for the tummy is life!

Haha right on! Nothing better than feeling satisfied and happy after eating 😊

Haha I got my hand tied not consuming ice cream. Hey frozen yogurt is a much healthier alternative and is tasty too :) I guess everything but ice cream can be in moderation allowing me a slip with the frozen treats.
