Graduation Day | A Culmination Of A Student's Hard Work

avatar

When i attended my brother's graduation, i cant help but reminisce my own graduation day. To the parents and visitors, it may seem like a day with a lot of cameras and picture takings, a celebration, and full of food and drinks. But when the day ends, most of us go back to our own reality and do our day to day activities. However, as to the graduates, it is not just a day of celebration but rather a culmination of all their hard work, sleepless nights, and sometimes friendships.

Life will not be the same again after graduation day. Some friends will go back to their province and who knows when they will come back, or acquaintances whom you will never see again just because it is no longer conventional. And there's you contemplating what's next in life. In my experience, i went through life crisis after graduation. That 'in between student and adult' crisis. I believe we all went through some sort of transition period after our graduation. Lucky are those who never doubted they're path; those who already carved out a plan for their future.

On January 27, 2024, we went to University Of San Carlos, Talamban Campus for the graduation of my brother. It was held inside St Arnold Janssen church.

We seated at the corner and witnessed hundreds of graduates marched on the stage with their diploma.

I'm genuinely so proud of my brother because he graduated as the only magna cum laude in their batch with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

As he enters the adulting world, may life be a little gentler to him and may he always seize every opportunities coming his way. As his elder sister, i can only guide and support him in his endeavors but it is still himself who will carve his own path. I wish nothing but the best for my brother.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light

Love, Jane
