Valentine's Day Rush

Are you a fan of celebrating Valentine's day? Well, for me Valentine's day should be celebrated everyday and not just on the 14th of February.

Valentine's day was a weekday so people in our office prepared a mini celebration for heart's day. The Human Resource and Admin department decorated the office pantry with balloons and party poppers.

When the clock strike 3 o'clock in the afternoon, the celebration began. There were snacks composing of chicken, heart shaped donuts, and iced tea. Unfortunately, our department was busy so we went to the pantry at 3:30 pm already so only a few foods remained.

I'm still thankful though, because this mini celebration gives me excuse to take a break from working. I grab a cup of coffee instead and just sit in the pantry for a little while. I'm still new to this company so i have yet to know everyone.

Afterwards, we then tuned in to our "google meeting" valentines day program where you can send anonymous letters for your special someone. We listened to the program while doing our work. I was really entertained by the hosts of this program because they delivered their spiels with lots of jokes. HAHA. Although there were quite a few serious topics about relationships that were tackled.

Valentine's day rush was strongly felt when i went home because the roads were very traffic. It took me almost an hour to go home which made me realize how most people are so into celebrating Valentine's day. In the past, i did receive some chocolates and teddy bears for Valentine's day but as i grow older, I now prefer simple celebrations of love not just on Valentines day but also on random days when we least expect it.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light

Love, Jane
