In times of fragile equanimity ...

About the pursuit of mental health. I've seen lying. And right at that moment I stopped believing in everything we had built.

It seems like a lie, but committing to our values and acting in accordance with them is one of the greatest acts of love that exist, it's just about not deceiving ourselves, not lying to ourselves, not failing and choosing ourselves even if it's uncomfortable.

In an era, the current one and that of all eras it is so easy to justify ourselves, soften things and look the other way, in fact keeping our word to ourselves is a sign of maturity and deep integrity. The quality and the gift of people of a person is noticeable and a lot in that gap I mean how much there is between what he says, what he believes and what he really does.

Do you know why I'm saying this?, well, because being consistent is really uncomfortable, but it's the only thing that allows us to look in the mirror without being ashamed and build a life that if it represents us, it's kind of like choosing us.

They taught us to celebrate strength, endurance, the ability to push, to keep going, to not stop. They taught us to admire people who can handle everything, who solve everything, who carry everything and smile on top. And for many years one believes it. One believes that to live well is to keep moving forward without feeling tired.

Until one day life slows us down. Sometimes the body stops us.

Sometimes a loss. Sometimes a change you didn't ask for. Sometimes a farewell. Sometimes it's just that weird feeling of looking at your life and realizing that you can't live it like before anymore.

At first one fights with that. Because it's hard to accept that the rhythm has changed. It's hard to accept that everything can't be done the same anymore. It's hard to accept that asking for help isn't failing, that slowing down isn't giving up, that letting go isn't always losing. That's when another way of living begins, the one that comes not from demonstrating anything, but from listening to oneself.

After fifty one begins to understand that the lowering of age also has its wisdom, because one learns to lose weight, to ask for support, to walk more slowly and not to confuse pause with defeat.
If this post made you think of someone, share it.

And follow me to continue talking about what life looks like after the completed years.Always, as far as you can, keep the best of others…

Keep your intention to do good, even in the midst of the judgments you receive... stay in love mode.
