Hello, Hive Book Club community!

It is a genuine pleasure to greet you and formally introduce myself in this very special corner of Hive, where pages come to life and stories find their home. My name is Marcos Montero, and in this digital ecosystem, you will find me under the username @jankris. I am a teacher and a playwright, and today I would like to open the doors to my world: a universe made of the stage, scripts, dialogue, and, above all, a deep passion for the written word.

My path through the worlds of writing and theater is nothing new; in fact, I have dedicated 51 years to the theatrical arts, starting back in 1974. I was born in San Carlos, Cojedes, but my heart and my artistic work have deeply flourished here in the state of Carabobo, Venezuela.

For me, writing for the theater is not merely about putting words on paper; it is about creating possible worlds, giving voice to historical figures (such as Manuela Sáenz, Eulalia Buroz, or General Piar), and constructing mirrors in which society can see itself, reflect, and why not dream.

Over the decades, I have had the joy of exploring acting, directing, puppetry, and teaching. The latter has allowed me not only to watch my own works grow but also to mentor countless emerging talents through the Antología Teatral Carabobo a beautiful project that has spent over a decade compiling the dramatic works of our region.

Sharing Knowledge: Online Workshops 💻✨

One of my deepest convictions is that knowledge not shared is knowledge lost. That is why, alongside writing and publishing, I actively conduct online workshops. My goal with these educational sessions, approached with the utmost humility, is to share the tools of dramaturgy, dramatic text analysis, and dramatic literary technique that I have honed over years of practice and teaching.
