I have been away for a couple days or week. A lot of things happen with family and friends. We also visited our grandparents and Easter Season passed by.

I am now back to our art share✌️😁😁😁✌️

Digital Art Process

At first I am doing an exploration about the design. I am juggling whether to stick with the actual puppet with cute and big face and small body or something else. Well I end up liking the sketch that I did with a teen like body so I proceed with that one.

In the next image, I bring that rough sketch and scale it a bit larger. Then I define it's shapes once I'm happy I moved to the next step.

Then I created the fine lines. On top of the sketch layer reduced it's opacity and start to trace these outlines of the character.

After creating the outlines. Add another layer below for the base color. Brush in flat colors of the character.

And here, I create some color variation and add some gradient like above the base color layer.

And then add the shadow layer that is set to multiply blending mode.

I darken the lower leg and feet to minimize white surfaces.

Then, I add some layer highlight. Choose color white and set the layer overlay blending mode. Brush in the light areas.

I add another light in the dress area.

✨✨✨

And then I add another layer for areas that shines. This is also set in overlay blending mode.

Lastly, I add the background and finished the illustration.

Happy in how it turns out in the end. I also add those flat color version in the background😁
