MUSIC: Song Request 50% HP Challenge - Week 2 - Winner: @naradamoon with "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley!
Hello everybody on HIVE, and especially the Music Community. My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you from Cape Town, South Africa!
Last week I decided to start a challenging series of posts! BUT I Need your Help!
This is the challenge I'm setting myself every week: I ask for cover song requests on the MUSIC community, and then pick a favourite song to learn and post a live video of me attempting it. The person who asked for the winning song then gets 50% of the post rewards in HP!
This week's winner is @naradamoon with his request of "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley. You can view the original video here, with lyrics at the bottom of the post:
Perhaps it is because @naradamoon is a talented singer, guitarist and writer of original songs himself that he was able to see that this would be a fun song for somebody like me to learn? Readers, please give him a FOLLOW and check out the original music he is posting on HIVE!

Now @clairemobey is the talented friend who I play on stage with in a collaboration called Mobey-Dick, so it would have been pure nepotism for her to win outright... but it was a lovely song that I think suits me nicely, so she can get 20% of this post's rewards in HP as well (I'm not going to do this every week Claire - hahaha)!

It was absolutely perfect.
It's funny because that album has several iconic songs like Iris, Slide, Black Balloon, and then this short little simple one at the end that you might just take for granted - but you shouldn't!
If it was a cassette I would have stretched it! I had it on CD though. I know every lyric to the whole album!

Thank you very much, today is a strange day here because it has been raining for more than 7 hours and I woke up fighting between depression and the desire to work, but it has done me a lot of good to listen to your interpretation of "Crazy"... It has put my soul back into my body and I have started to work!...
Hey!... Excellent your initiative of the contest to select songs from your covers!.... Hummm... I've always seen you very "Country" since I've been listening to you on #Hive #Music.... And I always associate your voice with my thirties when I used to listen to a lot of Country music... Maybe you could do "The Gambler" by Kenny Rogers!.... The lyrics are beautiful, it's a poem of life, about an encounter with an experienced gambler, full of advices... :-))

It's a pleasure for me, I enjoy the good posts!.... Oh, yeah, don't worry, I'm fine.... I'm something of a "cocktail" between depressions, bipolar and other anxieties... ha ha ha!.... One day I can ride 50 km singing on a bicycle and the next day I'm lying in bed imagining that the world is going to go down the drain... I think it's hereditary by maternal descent... ha ha ha :)).... I have seen professionals, but my last psychologist ended up leaving his career and now sells sweets and stickers in a small kiosk in Mexico City... ha ha ha :)) .... But we're still friends even though he didn't want to go back to practice after giving up on me.... I send a thousand blessings and best wishes to you and your family my friend!....;-)

Haha - well the person needs to have a HIVE account so that they can get 50% of the post rewards in HP if they pick the song I decide to try... so far I've just been asking people to make their request in the comments section of the post - and that's basically it!
I came up with this idea because I am still a small account on HIVE with 1200HP so far, and my vote is still quite small. Meanwhile, I am very grateful for all the help and support I have been getting on HIVE so far, and it almost doesn't feel fair! So, I thought this weekly post would be a nice way to thank people for watching and engaging with me, and at the same time make sure that I am challenged to learn new songs!

Incredibly beautiful request. Love this song.
The interpretation of the first song is wonderful, I loved it and more for the mastery with the guitar. To be exact, it had a lot of strength. The Crazy part felt very powerful.
The change to the second song is unique because of the softer tone. I like the interpretation of Acoustic #3, beautiful.
There is a song that I have been listening to a lot these days and I like it, it has a special romantic and reflective touch: "Die alone" by finneas.
It would be great if you could sing it, maybe this song makes me look back a bit.

You've got my vote on this one. Incase you didn't notice, I'm a massive Googodolls fan. The vocal range in this song is incredibly underrated. He jumps a whole octave for the chorus!
