Hello everybody on HIVE, and especially the Music Community. My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you from Cape Town in South Africa!

Apologies for the late upload! 3speak failed to encode my video last night so I had to re-upload this morning!

This is my 32nd week contributing to "Three Tune Tuesday", an initiative started by @ablaze. It is week 97 overall! We are getting close to the big 100 - which will be a massive milestone!

In all of my TTT entries I like to play the songs on guitar as well as share the original videos. I have a new pattern for "Three Tune Tuesday" where I pick three songs by one of my favourite artists, that has inspired me - as I also write original songs.

This week I would like to do U2! As an Irish person, I hope @ablaze is a fan - I certainly seem to enjoy playing them, and will probably do a U2-part2 in a few weeks! I'm not even doing "Where The Streets Have No Name" or "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" this time!

Let's kick off with one of the best political protest songs of all time: "Sunday Bloody Sunday", which commemorates a time in Irish history when unarmed protestors were shot by British troops. I'm sure @ablaze is far more familiar with the full story?

Here is the original video:

Then for the second song, let's do the beautiful "All I Want is You"! Here is the original video:

Finally, let's be sure to give you one of U2's most famous songs: "With or Without You"! Actually, in its most basic structure, this song is a four chord miracle (1st major, 5th major, 6th minor, 4th major) and so it is an easy enough song for all you other musicians to learn - the trick is finding a comfortable key where you can start singing low and then sing quite a bit higher later? Hahaha!

Here is the original video:

So that's week 97 done and dusted! I hope you enjoyed the U2 songs! Would you like a U2-part2 soon? Which song was your favourite?

Apologies again for the late upload! Hopefully 3speak is back on track now!

Which artist will I do three covers of next week?

Before I go... please look out for my weekly cover request post on Thursdays! If you make a song request in the comments, and then I attempt the song, you get rewarded with 50% of that post's rewards in HP! It's as simple as that!

Great selections! With or Without You is a song that actually still brings some emotion out for me; it was popular at a time when I was both going through some strife in my life yet, at the same time, finding my way and really coming to understand my individuality and freedom. That said, I loved your cover to Sunday Bloody Sunday. Awesome.

Really well covered man, that was quality stuff right there and I reckon Bono, Edge, Larry and Adam would give those versions the nod of approval. If the lads are ever in SA, and Bono's voice is acting up they could easily call on you to give them a dig out!! Quality stuff man.

And to answer the question about Bloody Sunday, it's about Bloody Sunday in Derry in 1972, where 26 unarmed civilians were shot dead by the British Army during a protest march in the Bogside area of Derry. The British authorities only apologised and accepted liability in 2010, over forty years later. Terrible things happened on both sides of this conflict over the "troubles" as they were called but the time should be called "The senseless murders" or something instead.

Northern Ireland has been there since 1921, following the 1916 rising Ireland managed to win freedom for the 26 counties of Southern Ireland, but failed to get the whole of Ireland back from British rule. There was a treaty between Ireland and UK signed by Michael Collins from Ireland and David Lloyd George from UK. This caused huge rifts in Ireland and led to the Irish civil war between June 1922 and May 1923, which are among the saddest days in Ireland's history where brothers fought brother literally.

Before 1916, Ireland was ruled by the UK for around 800 years and before that there was the Normans and the Vikings battling it out with Irelands hundred or so small Kingdoms... Ireland rebelled a few times before 1916 and were crushed, like 1798 and other years.
