MUSIC: Three Tune Tuesday 147 (ENG/ESP) - 3 Songs on the Theme of “Poesia (Poetry)” (Hive Open Mic Week 206)

Hello everybody on HIVE, and especially the Music Community. My name is Jasper and I'm writing to you from Cape Town, South Africa (I’m home)!

Welcome to "Three Tune Tuesday", an initiative started by @ablaze. It is week 147 overall! My current pattern for how I will be contributing to TTT is to take the Hive Open Mic challenge Theme of the Week and give suggestions on how I would tackle it!

For those of you who are not familiar, the Hive Open Mic is a weekly challenge on the Hive Open Mic community for anybody who loves to sing. You don’t even need to play an instrument, a backing track or a cappella is also fine as far as I can tell!

Different artists are given the chance to choose a “Theme of the Week” that the posts should be based on. Often it can be difficult for people to think about easy songs that might fit that theme… so let me see if I can be of any assistance to the people who still might not know what to try by the time Tuesday comes around!

It was the turn of @cesaramos to pick a theme, and this week the theme is “Poesia”, which means “Poetry”.

Well, all songs are poetical by their very nature, but let’s try and think of some particularly poetical ones!

This amazing song starts with a spoken introduction that very poetically describes the mythology behind the advanced, but ultimately cursed, Continent of Atlantis…

“Changes” – Tupac feat. Talent

This famous song samples the chorus from Bruce Hornsby’s equally beautiful song “The Way it Is”. I definitely adore both versions, but I’m really surprised Tupac or somebody close to him listened to Bruce Hornsby or even knew who he was!

Bienvenidos a "Three Tune Tuesday", una iniciativa iniciada por @ablaze. ¡Es la semana 147 en total! Mi patrón actual sobre cómo contribuiré a TTT es tomar el tema de la semana del desafío Hive Open Mic y dar sugerencias sobre cómo lo abordaría.

Para aquellos de ustedes que no están familiarizados, Hive Open Mic es un desafío semanal en la comunidad de Hive Open Mic para cualquiera que ame cantar. ¡Ni siquiera necesitas tocar un instrumento, por lo que yo sé, una pista de acompañamiento o a capela también está bien!

Diferentes artistas tienen la oportunidad de elegir un “Tema de la semana” en el que se basarán las publicaciones. A menudo puede resultar difícil para las personas pensar en canciones sencillas que puedan encajar con ese tema... ¡así que déjenme ver si puedo ser de alguna ayuda para las personas que quizás todavía no sepan qué probar cuando llegue el martes!
