The Singing Voice / La Voz Cantante (ENG/ESP) - Week 57 - "High and Dry" by Radiohead

Hello everybody on Hive and especially the PukoMundo Community! My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you from the back seat of my car in the office parking lot in Cape Town, South Africa! This is Week 57 of “The Singing Voice” or “La Voz Cantante” challenge!

So, the aim of the game is to play a rock cover, or perhaps a cover of a genre that led to the formation of rock music.

My first entry into this challenge was a song by Radiohead about 2 months ago. I think enough time has passed that you will forgive me if I do another one by them? The Radiohead album “The Bends” is one of my favourite albums ever and strikes me as one of those albums where every song is good, as opposed to an album with a couple of hits and mostly “filler” in-between.

Can you think of other albums like this?

Maybe:

• “(What’s The Story?) Morning Glory” by Oasis?
• “Dizzy Up The Girl” by The Goo Goo Dolls?
• The first “Tracy Chapman” album?
• “The Last Waltz” by The Band? (I must try cover some of these!!)

¡Hola a todos en Hive y especialmente a la Comunidad PukoMundo! Mi nombre es Jasper y les escribo (y canto) desde el asiento trasero de mi auto en el estacionamiento de la oficina en Ciudad del Cabo, Sudáfrica. ¡Esta es la Semana 57 del desafío “La Voz Cantante” o “La Voz Cantante”!

Entonces, el objetivo del juego es tocar una versión de rock, o tal vez una versión de un género que condujo a la formación de la música rock.

Mi primera participación en este desafío fue una canción de Radiohead hace aproximadamente 2 meses. ¿Creo que ha pasado suficiente tiempo como para que me perdones si hago otro de ellos? El álbum de Radiohead "The Bends" es uno de mis álbumes favoritos y me parece uno de esos álbumes en los que cada canción es buena, a diferencia de un álbum con un par de éxitos y en su mayoría "relleno" en el medio.

¿Se te ocurren otros álbumes como este?
