Blue Period | Doing what you love isn't always fun

I think I had not seen this series before because the same thing happened as with Komi can't communicate, they uploaded 1 chapter a week, and as I don't like to see things like that, I waited until they uploaded it all, but after that, I forgot it existed and even if I saw the cover on my list I passed it by because the feeling of rejection was still there, until finally a few days ago I saw it and I love it. It had been a long time since I had seen a series about art so good, so although here we only talk about visual art, art has a characteristic and that is that no matter what specialty it talks about, the language of art is universal, so you can feel perfectly what it wants to express.

In Blue Period things begin when Yatora Taguchi sees the painting of a member of the art club and is amazed, so much so that he comes to feel that he does not know where the painting ends and where reality begins, after that Yuka Ayukawa invites him to the art club and that is when he knows his true passion, painting, so much so that he decides he wants to study art, go to an art university, live from art, without wanting to run away from the good and bad of it all, because he finally found the reason to live, the reason why he feels that his heart began to beat again, but doing what you love is not always fun, and that is something that Yatora is going to discover sooner or later.

Creo que no había visto esta serie antes porque sucedía lo mismo que con Komi can't communicate, que subían 1 capítulo a la semana, y como no me gusta ver cosas así, esperé hasta que la subieran toda, pero después de eso olvidé que existía y aunque viera la portada en mi lista la pasaba de largo porque la sensación de rechazo seguía ahí, hasta que finalmente hace unos días la vi y la amo. Tenía mucho tiempo que no veía una serie sobre el arte tan buena, aunque aquí solo se hable del arte visual, pero el arte tiene una característica y es que sin importar de cuál especialidad se hable, el lenguaje del arte es universal, por lo que se puede sentir perfectamente lo que quiere expresar.

En Periodo Azul las cosas comienzan cuando Yatora Taguchi ve la pintura de un miembro del club de arte y queda maravillado, tanto así que llega a sentir que no sabe dónde termina la pintura y dónde comienza la realidad, después de eso Yuka Ayukawa lo invita al club de arte y es cuando conoce su verdadera pasión, pintar, tanto así que decide que quiere estudiar arte, ir a una universidad de arte, vivir del arte, sin querer huirle a lo bueno y malo de todo eso, porque finalmente encontró la razón por la cual vivir, la razón por la cual siente que su corazón comenzó a latir de nuevo, pero hacer lo que amas no siempre es divertido, y eso es algo que Yatora va a descubrir tarde o temprano.

If not all, almost all the secondary characters in this series deserve their series, because damn, they are too good, some more than others, but yes, and as you probably already know me a little, you know I have preferences, and my preference in this anime lies in Yuka, a bisexual trans woman, who not only loves art but lives with art in her veins and does not let herself be repressed by anything or anyone, although she is still a person and that makes her just as vulnerable as the rest.

My brain suffered a short circuit with Yuka, I must not lie, from the beginning I thought she was a cisgender woman, but little by little we are given small details that it is not so, and even for some duration of the series we are told that it is a cisgender man who only likes to dress as a woman, but things are not so, little by little we know more about Yuka and suffer with her, we get excited with her, we will celebrate her identity and her decision to live as she wants no matter the opinion of the rest of the world. I love her, I admire her, and I cry with her.

Si no bien todos, casi todos los personajes secundarios en esta serie merecen su propia serie, porque ¡joder!, son demasiado buenos, unos más que otros, pero sí, y como seguramente ya me conocen un poco, sabrán que tengo preferencias, y mi preferencia en este anime radica es Yuka, una mujer trans bisexual, que no solo ama el arte, si no que vive con el arte en las venas y no se deja reprimir por nada nada, ni nadie, aunque sigue siendo una persona y eso la hace igual de vulnerable que el resto.

Mi cerebró sufrió un corto circuito con Yuka, no debo mentir, desde un principio pensé que era una mujer cisgenero, pero poco a poco nos van dando pequeños detalles de que no es así, e incluso durante cierta duración de la serie nos dicen de que es un hombre cisgenero que solo le gusta vestirse de mujer, pero las cosas no son así, poco a poco conocemos más a Yuka y sufrimos con ella, nos emocionamos con ella, celebraremos su identidad y su decisión de vivir como realmente quiere sin que importe la opinión del resto del mundo. La amo, la admiro, y lloro con ella.

One of the wonderful things about this series is that although Yatora believes that there are geniuses of painting, that everything they do is excellent, and that he could never match it, things are not like that, the only difference between those people and him, is that they found their artistic voice and know what they want to say, they know how to say it, and that is what Yatora lacks, only he does not know it, no one can tell him, no one has the power to tell someone what their artistic voice is and how to use it, that is one of the most lonely, painful and full of confusion processes that exist, that is why few people venture to make any kind of art, good art, few people dare to undress and leave their blood in the art they make, that they want to make, that is why little art is good no matter what.

Una de las cosas maravillosas de esta serie es que si bien Yatora cree que hay genios de la pintura, que todo lo que hacen es excelente y que nunca podría llegar a igualarlo, las cosas no son así, la única diferencia entre esas personas y él, es que ellos encontraron su voz artística y saben lo que quieren decir, saben cómo decirlo, y eso es lo que le falta a Yatora, solo que él no lo sabe, nadie puede decírselo, nadie tiene la potestad para decirle a alguien cuál es su voz artística y cómo emplearla, ese es uno de los procesos más solitarios, dolorosos y llenos de confusión que existen, por eso poca gente se aventura a realizar cualquier tipo de arte, un arte bueno, poca gente se atreve a desnudarse y dejar su sangre en el arte que hacen, que quiere hacer, por eso poco arte es bueno sin importar qué.
