Boku dake ga inai machi | Anime review (ENG-ES)

Today I'm going to talk to you a little bit about the last anime I saw, called: Boku dake ga inai machi or Erased, it consists of 12 chapters, each one lasting 25 minutes or less, which indicates that I saw it in several hours in a row because I couldn't stop watching it, and it's from 2016, so go see it if you haven't.

Erased allows us to accompany Satoru Fujinuma, a 29 year old manga writer for his life, which is nothing remarkable, except for the fact that he has the ability to go back in time when something bad happens near him or someone dies so he can save them. Satoru calls this ability "Revival", it can be said that he does not control the ability, and he knows what will happen when he sees a bright blue butterfly pass by in front of him.

Desaparecido nos permite acompañar a Satoru Fujinuma, un escritor de manga de 29 años por su vida, que no es nada destacable, excepto por el hecho de que tiene la habilidad de volver en el tiempo cuando sucede algo malo cerca de él o alguien muere y así poder salvarlo. Satoru llama a esta habilidad «Revival», cabe decir que él no controla la habilidad, y sabe que va a suceder cuando ve una mariposa azul brillante pasar por casualidad frente a él.

Satoru feels most of the time like an impostor, he is not really himself in any circumstance so he tries to really relate to others, but that feeling is something that never goes away. At least until he travels a lot in time and manages to change.

A very rare event happens to Satoru, while he is shopping with his mother he goes back in time and when he tries to discover which is the unfortunate event he should avoid, nothing happens and he does not discover what it was, but when he tells his mother to look around for some sign of something strange she realizes a failed kidnapping. Days later Satoru's mother is murdered and he is accused of having done it, while trying to save her by using his ability he travels in time, but he travels 18 years earlier, when he was barely 10 years old, and now it is time to do something that he has always been recriminating himself.

Satoru se siente la mayoría del tiempo como un impostor, no es él realmente en ninguna circunstancia por lo que trata de relacionarse de verdad con los demás, pero esa sensación es algo que no llega a desaparecer a nunca. Al menos hasta que viaja mucho en el tiempo y logra cambiar.

Un evento muy raro le ocurre a Satoru, mientras está de compras con su madre regresa en el tiempo y cuando trata de descubrir cuál es el evento desafortunado que debe evitar, nada ocurre y no descubre qué era, pero al decirle a su madre que mire a su alrededor buscando por alguna señal de algo raro ella se da cuenta de un secuestro fallido. Días después la madre de Satoru es asesinada y lo acusan a él de haberlo hecho, al querer tratar de salvarla usando su habilidad viaja en el tiempo, pero 18 años antes, cuando apenas tenía 10 años de edad, y ahora es el momento de hacer algo que siempre estuvo recriminándose.

When he was 10 years old, two girls and a boy of his age were kidnapped and killed. Satoru blamed himself because he could have prevented it, even though he didn't have his ability at the time. When he went back in time he remembered something his mother told him, that blaming himself for not having saved them was very arrogant on his part, there are limits to what a person can do, so he had to stop blaming himself.

Kayo Hinazuki was one of the murdered girls, a classmate, so Satoru decides to change everything he did in the past and stop being a witness, and now he really cares about others. Kayo was one of the poorest girls and suffered from family abuse from her mother, depressed, alone, with no one to talk to. Saturo changed that and became a friend to her, a real friend.

The serial child killer's targets were lonely children who could easily disappear and no one would notice until several hours later, when it would be too late. Seeing how Satoru managed to become part of Kayo's life was very hard, the way she rejected him knowing that he was also an impostor and that he didn't care about others, her reasoning was very mature for someone her age, and how she gradually stopped feeling alone and dropped all the shields she had raised.

Cuando tenía 10 años, dos niñas y un niño de su edad fueron secuestrados y asesinados. Satoru se culpaba porque podía haberlo evitado, aunque en ese momento no tenía su habilidad, al volver en el tiempo recordó algo que le dijo su madre, que culparse por no haberlos salvado era muy arrogante de su parte, hay límites para lo que puede hacer una persona, así que tenía que dejar de culparse.

Kayo Hinazuki fue una de las niñas asesinadas, compañera de él, así que Satoru decide cambiar todo lo que hizo en el pasado y dejar de ser un testigo y ahora se interesa de verdad por los demás. Kayo era una de las niñas más pobres y sufría de maltrato familiar por parte de su madre, deprimida, sola, sin nadie a quién acudir. Saturo cambió eso y se hizo amigo de ella, un amigo de verdad.

Los objetivos del asesino en serie de niños eran niños solitarios que fácilmente podían desaparecer y nadie lo notaría hasta varias horas después, cuando ya sería tarde. Ver cómo Satoru logra formar parte de la vida de Kayo fue algo muy duro, el cómo ella lo rechazaba sabiendo que también era un impostor y que no se preocupaba por los demás, sus razonamientos muy maduros para alguien de su edad, y cómo poco a poco ella deja de sentirse sola y va dejando caer todos los escudos que había levantado.

No one should feel alone, especially at the age of 10. It should be the parents' job to look after their children's mental health, but this is not always the case, and with Kayo we have the perfect example of family abandonment and abuse. You have to watch the series in order to suffer and cry as much as I do, you don't know all the things she went through, not to mention all that Satoru did to make her situation better, it was a total odyssey.

Hero, Satoru felt like a hero making friends with all the children of his age who were alone, because that's how he felt even at 29 years old, so he decided to save as many children as possible, not only from being killed, but from feeling alone and thus heal their mental health a little bit. I cried seeing this, more than I can say.

Nadie debería sentirse solo, menos con tan solo 10 años de edad, debería ser trabajo de los padres velar por la salud mental de sus hijos, pero no siempre es así, y con Kayo tenemos el ejemplo perfecto de abandono y maltrato familiar. Tienen que ver la serie para que sufran y lloren tanto como yo, no saben todas las cosas por las que ella pasaba, y menos aún todo lo que hizo Satoru para lograr que su situación mejorara, fue una total odisea.

Héroe, Satoru se sentía como un héroe haciéndose amigo de todos los niños de su edad que estaban solos, porque así se sentía él aún a los 29 años, entonces decidió salvar a la mayoría de niños posibles, no solo de ser asesinados, si no de sentirse solos y así sanar un poco su salud mental. Lloré viendo esto, más de lo que puedo llegar a decir.

Not everything is drama, pain, suffering and murder in this series, no. There is also a lot of comedy. Saturo, like many people, hid his true thoughts and feelings, but once he begins to be truly interested in others he begins to say things without thinking, and he spends half his life grieving when he realizes that not only did he have that thought, but he also said it out loud, every time that happens you don't know whether to cry or laugh, because they are such simple things but at the same time so strong that you are left undecided.

To have a 29 year old mind in a 10 year old body is not something easy, and it is something that we are going to experience with Satoru, it is rare, very rare, but also fun, to see how he wants to say or do something and that he does not do it simply because he is not old enough, or that he is correcting himself every time he knows that something is going to happen and he cannot change it, or that he says something that he should not know, but that he knows because it comes from the future, and so many other things.

In IMDb the series has 8.5 out of 10, which satisfies me and surprises me, I was expecting a 7, maybe 6.5, but not an 8.5, having seen it becomes much better after knowing this, I also just discovered that it has a live action, and I'm not going to miss the opportunity to see it, I'll tell you later how it is. No todo es drama, dolor, sufrimiento y asesinados en esta serie, no. También hay mucha comedia. Saturo, como muchas personas, escondía sus verdaderos pensamientos y sentimientos, pero una vez comienza a interesarse verdaderamente por los demás comienza a decir las cosas sin pensarlo, y se la pasa media vida apenado al darse cuenta de que no solo tuvo ese pensamiento, si no que también lo dijo en voz alta, cada vez que sucede eso no sabes si llorar o reír, porque son cosas tan simples pero a la vez tan fuertes que uno queda indeciso.

Tener una mente de 29 años en un cuerpo de 10 años no es algo fácil, y es algo que vamos a experimentar con Satoru, es raro, muy raro, pero también divertido, ver cómo él quiere decir o hacer algo y que no lo haga simplemente porque no tiene la edad suficiente, o que se esté corrigiendo cada vez que sabe que algo va a suceder y no puede cambiarlo, o que dice algo que no debería saber, pero que sabe porque viene del futuro, y así muchas otras cosas.

En IMDb la serie tiene 8.5 de 10, cosa que me satisface y me sorprende, esparaba un 7, quizás 6.5, pero no un 8.5, haberla visto se vuelve mucho mejor después de saber esto, también acabo de descubrir que tiene un live action, y no voy a perder la oportunidad de verlo, ya después les cuento qué tal es.
