All the people I asked if it was worth watching Boruto or not always gave me variants of the same answer: that it wasn't worth it, that it was a waste of time, that the essence of Naruto was lost long ago, that the new characters lacked something that made them as memorable or incredible as Naruto's, and that even if they tried, the enemies in Boruto were only strong because of powerups that nobody knew where they had gotten them from and that they were not at all comparable to Naruto's, among many other things.

I only agree with them on one of those things, and that is that Naruto's enemies set the bar too high for them to surprise us in such a short time, the stories behind Obito, Madara, Pain, all the members of Akatsuki, Orochimaru himself, that is, there were already fights in Naruto that blew our minds, and the way everything developed in Naruto: Shippūden only made everything even more incredible than it already was. All of that is something that's going to be very hard for Boruto to ever match or surpass, but otherwise, it's a series worth watching, and those of us who grew up watching Naruto will appreciate all the good and bad things about the series.

What does all this have to do with Kurama's farewell? Because at the beginning of this year Kurama's death was revealed in the manga, and for that simple reason I started watching Boruto, I got approximately to chapter 124 before June and stopped watching it because I got saturated and wasn't enjoying it at all, because it is a series that you do enjoy, but on October 3 chapter 218 of Boruto titled 'Companions' aired, and it is in this chapter where we say goodbye to Kurama, I cried a little when I found out and since I wasn't prepared to watch it, I erased it from my mind for a few months; a few weeks ago I went back to continue watching Boruto and a few days ago I got to that chapter and I can say that I cried horribly, fucking Kurama, you died, it's not fair.

In short, which is not going to be a summary, during Boruto they learned of the existence of many other Otsutsuki who had their eyes set on the earth, these wanted to finish the job that Kaguya could not, to grow the God Tree: Shinju, and thus collect all the chakra of humans, so that the tree would give the fruit of chakra and thus obtain the greatest power of all time. Sasuke begins to hunt them for all possible dimensions to which he is able to access, they are extremely strong and almost kill them on more than one occasion, and this is where Boruto comes in, like Naruto, he does whatever he wants and gets in where he is not called, and although he gets in the way, he ends up helping and with his help they manage to defeat them.

Or at least they think so, because the equivalent of Akatsuki in Boruto, called Kara, and a new power that Boruto gets that at some point we will discover is called Karma, and it is not just a power, but something that goes beyond human understanding and ensures the existence and survival of the Otsutsuki, even if they get to kill them, so yes, they are too annoying to be defeated easily.

Isshiki Otsutsuki is going to have a brutal story, the best of all the Otsutsuki we are going to meet in Boruto, but I won't tell you that story, I'm just going to tell you that the bastard is harder than a diamond and his mere existence is a complete nuisance in the world, because of all the Otsutsuki he is the one who is most focused on making the Fruit Tree grow and thus fulfill his mission, and here I must say that you better clarify the whole story behind the Otsutsuki, I don't need to sleep, what I need are answers.

image.png

Isshiki once almost killed Sasuke and Naruto, well, he left them half dead, more there than here, because not even fighting together at 100% they didn't create problems, so Kurama asked Naruto if he was really willing to die to protect the village, Naruto told him that he was ready since he was a little boy, and while I was crying Kurama explained to him what would be their last transformation together, the Barion Mode, a state where the chakra burns at gigantic amounts per second, giving him the power of almost a god, which makes Naruto be at Isshiki's level and they can fight at the same level, turning the massacre they were having into a fair fight.

I didn't know whether to be more impressed by the transformation into Barion Mode, or to be sad because I knew what that meant, but what I did do was enjoy every single hit that Naruto was finally able to return to Isshiki, fuck, I went from laughter to tears in seconds, I didn't know what the fuck I was feeling, I just let myself go and allowed the chapter to do whatever it wanted with me, I had no will to oppose it.

I mean, I grew up watching Naruto, and last year I re-watched the two series in full, without skipping the filler at any time, I felt like I was eight or nine years old sitting on the floor in front of the TV after coming home from school almost running to not miss the chapters, or when my brother would buy the series on CDs and together we would watch it at night, I saw how Naruto's relationship with Kurama was growing, getting stronger and stronger, because of all the horrible moments they got to go through and overcome, Kurama was always with Naruto since his birth, and both always accompanied me during my childhood, saying goodbye to Kurama was not easy at all.

image.png

The last conversation between the two of them was horrible, the moment when Kurama starts to see Naruto through all the stages of his life, from child to that moment when he became the Hokage of Konoha... he even allowed himself to make jokes and everything, fucking Kurama, wanting to kill everyone when we started to meet him in the first chapter of Naruto, killing his parents, destroying half the village, and he ended up giving his life saving the world.

Yeah, I'm crying, I'll never stop crying in this life, although I'm actually starting to get annoyed, why the fuck didn't they have a funeral for Kurama? I mean, half of the Hokage of Konoja died, they should have made his own portrait on the stone wall next to the rest of all the Hokages of the village, it seems completely unfair to me, and why didn't the rest of the Bijuus show up? I mean, the strongest one died and the rest are happily walking around the world doing nothing, I don't like them, I love them, but I don't like them.

Anyway, thank you, Kurama, for everything you did, although you really were a pain in the ass at the beginning, but you just needed love, affection and understanding to stop hating the world and not wanting to kill everyone every second, although, to be honest, if I had the power, I would have extinguished all mankind too.

image.png
