Post Mortem - More like Post 'Special Effects' Mortem

This movie is not bad, if not that they abused many things in it when in reality less is more, and although I should not say this, I will, I preferred a thousand times to see this movie with my brother and his wife, even if it was worse than to see Money Heist, I mean, no, I think that not even for the love of my whole existence I would not get to see that series, I can't stand it at all, it's fine that there are people who like that one, but not me, so I'm not going to watch it ever, I was once told that Money Heist was to heist movies what Fast and Furious was to car movies and The Walking Dead was to zombie series, that is, nothing new, all repetitive and more of the same.

Anyway, Post Mortem is about a man who, without knowing how, survives death in the war and begins to work or already works taking pictures of the dead, then during one of the occasions where he was doing it, he meets a girl who tells him about a town where they have all their dead unburied because the land is frozen, so it would be nice to be able to take a picture of them before they bury them, he unknowingly decides to go and everything goes to shit from the moment he arrives at that town, although speaking in the honor of the truth, that town was already in shit long before.

Esta película no es mala, si no que abusaron de muchas cosas en ella cuando en realidad menos es más, y aunque no debería decir esto, lo haré, preferí mil veces ver esta película con mi hermano y su esposa, aunque haya sido mala, que ver La Casa de Papel, o sea, no, creo que ni siquiera por el amor de mi existencia completa yo llegaría a ver esa serie, no la soporto en absoluto, está bien que haya gente a la que le guste ese, pero a mí no, así que yo no voy a verla nunca, una vez me dijeron que La Casa de Papel era a las películas de robo lo que Rápidos y Furiosos a las películas de carros y The Walking Dead a las series de zombies, es decir, nada nuevo, todo repetitivo y más de lo mismo.

En fin, Post Mortem trata de un hombre que sin saber cómo, sobrevive a la muerte en la guerra y comienza a trabajar o ya trabaja tomándole fotos a los muertos, entonces durante una de las ocasiones donde lo estaba haciendo, conoce a una niña que le habla de un pueblo donde tienen a todos sus muertos sin enterrar porque la tierra está congelada, entonces que sería bueno poder tomarles una foto antes de que los entierran, él sin saber decide ir y todo se va a la mierda desde el momento que él llega a ese pueblo, aunque hablando en el honor de la verdad, ese pueblo ya estaba en la mierda desde mucho antes.

This post shouldn't be about the movie, it should be about why I hate watching movies with people, specifically with my family, and they never shut up, fuck, I would have enjoyed the movie more if I had seen it without company, but come on, my brother is leaving the country in two days and you have to share as much as you can before he leaves because you never know how long you will go without seeing him, although it doesn't really affect me too much, the rest of my family does, so ñe, you have to make sacrifices.

The movie is good, but the abuse of the special effects make it a complete joke to the movies about death and ghosts, it is good that they have scenes of scare jumps, and that they have small details that generate tension in the spectator and that add more drama to what they are showing, but fuck, there comes a moment after half of the movie in which the scenes are fighting to see which one has more special effects and everything becomes absolute ridiculousness, I still liked it, I will not say the opposite, but if they had controlled the movie a little bit it would be better.

Esta publicación no debería ser sobre la película, debería ser sobre el por qué odio ver películas con gente, en específico con mi familia, y es que nunca se callan, nojoda, hubiera disfrutado más de la película si la hubiera visto sin compañía, pero vamos, que mi hermano se va del país en dos días y que hay que compartir todo lo que se pueda antes de que se vaya porque no se sabe cuánto tiempo pasaremos sin verlo, aunque en realidad a mí no me afecta demasiado, pero al resto de mi familia sí, así que ñe, hay que hacer sacrificios.

La película, es buena, pero el abuso de los efectos especiales la vuelven una completa broma hacia las películas de muertos y fantasmas, está bien que tengan escenas de scarejumps, y que tengan pequeños detalles que generen tensión en el espectador y que le agreguen más dramatismo a lo que están mostrando, pero joder, llega un momento después de la mitad de la película en que las escenas están peleando por ver cuál es la que más efectos especiales tiene y todo se convierte en una ridiculez absoluta, igual me gustó, no voy a decir lo contrario, pero si se hubieran controlado un poco la película sería mejor.

On many occasions, we will be able to observe one of the most disgusting CGI that we will get to observe because in the film we will see a ghost made a shadow that walks on the walls and ceiling like a monkey, and that gives laughter instead of fear, although when it comes out surprisingly it does scare a little and/or causes an impression that makes us self-conscious, during the long scenes where we saw it a lot that what gave was laughter, only in those moments where I destroyed the film with my sister-in-law were worth it.

The performances... reminded me of Malignant, completely miserable and disposable, and watching it in the original language usually makes the performances completely better, and I think that's what made them bearable, not knowing what the fuck they were saying and having to rely on the subtitles and the context to understand what was going on, or try to because honestly, it's a story that has no head or tail.

Durante muchas ocasiones vamos a ser capaces de observar uno de los CGI más asquerosos que llegaremos a observar, pues en la película veremos a un fantasma hecho sombra que camina por las paredes y el techo como un mono y eso da risa en vez de miedo, aunque cuando sale sorpresivamente sí asusta un poco y/o causa una impresión que nos cohíbe, pero durante las escenas largas donde lo veíamos mucho eso lo que daba era risa, solo en esos momentos donde destruía la película con mi cuñada valían la pena.

Las actuaciones… me recordaron a Malignat, completamente miserables y descartables, y es que verla en el idioma original suele mejor completamente las actuaciones, y creo que solo eso fue lo que las hizo soportables, no saber qué carajos estaban diciendo y tener que confiar en los subtítulos y en el contexto para entender lo que sucedía, o tratar de hacerlo, porque sinceramente, es una historia que no tiene ni pies ni cabeza.

How the fuck are they going to put a photographer of the dead to solve the mystery of ghosts in a town with a little girl? I mean, it makes no sense, it's all completely forced, they just wanted to make the movie, they got the budget, and boom, here it is. But I must say that all the setting and scenarios were very well done, the dead really looked dead, and it has completely redeemable scenes that are a work of art and have a level of theatricality that gave me a mental orgasm of how perfect everything was in the scene, just for those little moments is why I like this movie.

Here is the trailer, and already from the trailer I knew that the movie was not going to be good, it is one of those perfect trailers that deceive you, they sell you the perfect story with little argumentative content and wham, you go to see the movie expecting to find the same, maybe something better, and no, it never happens, the good never comes, well, it has good things, but not in the way we expect it. See the movie at your own risk, fall in love with the Hungarian Armie Hammer, and love and admire this bad movie that can be good.

¿Cómo carajos van a un poner a un fotógrafo de muertos a resolver el misterio de unos fantasmas en un pueblo junto a una niña? O sea, no tiene sentido, todo completamente forzado, solo quisieron hacer la película, consiguieron el presupuesto y boom, aquí la tenemos. Pero debo decir que toda la ambientación y escenarios estuvieron muy bien hechos, los muertos de verdad parecían muertos, y tiene escenas completamente rescatables que son una obra de arte y tienen un nivel de teatralidad que me dieron un orgasmo mental de lo perfecto que estaba todo en escena, solo por esos pequeños momentos es que me gusta esta película.

Aquí les dejo el trailer, y ya por el trailer sabía que la película no iba a ser del todo buena, pues es uno de esos trailers perfectos que engañan a uno, te venden la historia perfecta con poco contenido argumentativo y zas, vas a ver la película esperando encontrar lo mismo, quizás algo mejor, y no, nunca sucede, nunca llega lo bueno, bueno, sí tiene cosas buenas, pero no en la forma en que lo esperamos. Vean la película bajo su propio riesgo, enamórense del Armie Hammer húngaro, y quieran y admiren esta película mala que puedo ser buena.
