Hello Splinterlands friends, with the summer and the rise of temperature in Europe came the changes in Splinterlands. Those changes that many of us are worrying us have made many players have given up to continue playing.

Hola amigos de Splinterlands, con el verano y la subida de temperatura en Europa llegaron los cambios en Splinterlands. Esos cambios que a muchos de nosotros nos están preocupando han hecho que muchos jugadores hayan renunciado a seguir jugando.

The most controversial change has been the use of the Staked SPS to receive and improve the rewards and that being honest has been a cold water for many of us, who started relatively recently and have had to invest many of the SPS we have obtained in improving our collection.

To prepare myself for this new situation in Splinterlands, I have decided to make some changes in my investment strategy to adapt and try to optimize the results and thus improve my rewards in SPS.

Para prepararme ante ésta nueva situación en Splinterlands, he decidido hacer unos cambios en la estrategia de inversión que llevaba para adaptarme e intentar optimizar los resultados y así mejorar mis recompensas en SPS.

My strategy until a couple of weeks ago

At the beginning of the year I changed the strategy I was following once I got enough HP and instead of putting 100% HP in the posts, I put 50% as I had reached a good amount of HP and it was time to start improving my card collection. This strategy of 50% HP and 50% in cards I kept using it until just a couple of weeks ago when I had to rethink the situation.

A principios de año cambié la estrategia que seguía una vez me hice con suficiente HP y en vez poner 100% a HP en los post, puse un 50% ya que había alcanzado una buena cantidad de HP y era el momento de empezar a mejorar mi colección de cartas. Esta estrategia de subida al 50% del HP y 50% en cartas he seguido usándola hasta hace apenas un par de semanas en el que tuve que replantear la situación.

New strategy

With the news that SPS stakeado was going to be necessary and seeing the huge amounts that were going to be needed to be able to play in Gold League, I have made some changes since it is going to be impossible for me to play in Gold League. So here is the strategy I am following at the moment:

• Invest $85 in SPS to be able to play in Silver League.
• Stop buying cards and only upgrade the ones I need for Silver League.
• Invest the post rewards in buying SPS to stake it.
• I will continue playing Brawls which is one of the best ways to earn SPS.
• I will sign up for as many tournaments as possible, it is very easy to recover my investment and have benefits.
• Change from Modern to Wild, more rewards in SPS.

Con las noticias de que SPS stakeado iba a ser necesario y viendo las enormes cantidades que se iban a necesitar para poder jugar en Liga Oro, he hecho unos cambios ya que me va a resultar imposible jugar en Liga Oro. Así que os enumero la estrategia que estoy siguiendo en estos momentos:

• Invertir $85 en SPS para poder jugar en Liga Plata.
• Dejar de comprar cartas y únicamente subir las que me faltan para Liga Plata.
• Invertir las recompensas de los post en comprar SPS para stakearlo.
• Seguiré jugando Brawls que es una de las mejores formas de ganar SPS.
• Voy a apuntarme a todos los torneos que sea posible, es muy fácil recuperar lo invertido y tener beneficios.
• Cambio de Modern a Wild, mayor número de recompensas en SPS.

1.- 85$ investment to play in Silver League

The amount of SPS I had was insufficient to be able to get rewards, so I had to dip into my savings and invest $89 to buy SPS. In total there was an amount of 4567 SPS at a price of 0.0186$.

With that amount I already reach the right amount to be in Silver League I with a x10.

La cantidad de SPS que tenía era insuficiente para poder conseguir recompensas, así que he tenido que echar mano de unos ahorros e invertir 89$ en comprar SPS. En total fueron una cantidad de 4567 SPS a un precio de 0,0186$.

Con esa cantidad ya llego a la cantidad justa para estar en Liga Plata I con un x10.

2.- Stop buying cards for Gold League

Until recently my intention was to buy cards and take them to Gold League, that was helping me to get good rewards and to be able to help my clan mates by selecting complicated slots. For the time being I'm stopping buying cards as I won't be able to use them.

Hasta hace poco tiempo mi intención era comprar cartas y llevarlas hasta Liga Oro, eso me estaba ayudando a obtener buenas recompensas y poder ayudar a mis compañeros del clan seleccionando ranuras complicadas. De momento paralizo la compra de cartas ya que no voy a poder usarlas.

3.- Upgrade the cards I have up to Silver level

I'm going to need to invest in cards that I haven't been improving because I haven't been using them much. Now that I want to consolidate my position in the Silver League, it is necessary to have as many cards as possible at an optimal level.

Voy a necesitar hacer una inversión en cartas que por usar poco no he ido mejorando. Ahora que quiero afianzarme en liga Plata es necesario contar con la mayor cantidad de cartas a un nivel óptimo.

4.- Brawls: the best option to win SPS

As I have always said, playing Brawls is the best way to get SPS and Gladius cards. Plus we learn how to play by training with tough opponents.

Como siempre he dicho, jugar Brawls es la mejor opción de conseguir SPS y cartas Gladius. Además aprendemos a jugar entrenando con duros rivales.

Little by little we accumulate SPS thanks to the rewards obtained in the combats.

Poco a poco vamos acumulando SPS gracias a las recompensas obtenidas en los combates.

5.- Playing Tournaments another way to earn SPS

Tournaments are also another way to get SPS quickly, the problem is that there are more and more people with a high level in these tournaments, so it will not be easy to get a good position. The point in its favor is that we usually recover what we have invested, so we can have a bad day but we will not lose what we have invested.

Los torneos son también otra de las formas de conseguir rápidamente SPS, el problema es que cada vez hay más gente con mucho nivel en estos torneos, así que no será nada fácil conseguir un buen puesto. El punto a su favor es que normalmente recuperamos lo invertido, así que podemos tener un mal día que no vamos a perder lo que hayamos invertido.

6.- Switch from Modern to Wild

I am a relatively new player to Splinterlands and that is reflected in my card collection. I feel more comfortable playing with cards from the Modern editions that I know well and own. But rewards for winning battles in Wild are far superior in SPS and that's why I'm going to change my play style and start adapting to playing in Wild mode.

Soy un jugador relativamente nuevo en Splinterlands y eso se ve reflejado en mi colección de cartas. Me siento más a gusto jugando con cartas de las ediciones Modern que conozco bien y poseo. Pero recompensas por ganar batallas en Wild son muy superiores en SPS y es por eso que voy a cambiar el estilo de juego y empezar a adaptarme a jugar en modo Wild.

This will be the most difficult change to make as I don't have enough cards from previous editions and that will be a handicap when playing.

Este será el cambio más difícil de hacer ya que no tengo las suficientes cartas de ediciones anteriores y eso será un hándicap a la hora de jugar.

This is one of those fights where we already know we're not going to do well 😔.

The challenge for all Splinterlands players in these months is very big. Many will stop playing the game and others will continue to make a strong commitment to adapt and continue to improve.
