We've reached 2022 and if there's one thing that never stops, it's music. Since the last time I did a review of these, back in November, there have been a few new things out there that are most likely what people are currently listening to. Personally, I'm the kind of person who is ALWAYS looking for new music to listen to, and while it's true that I'll most likely end up listening to the same songs, that search never stops.

That's why today I'm back to do this little countdown with some of those songs for us to listen to together. So put on your headphones and let's listen to some music.

- Ariana Grande - Kid Cudi // Just Look Up.

A couple of weeks ago came out what for me is the best movie of last year, Dont Look Up, and with it came part of its soundtrack by one of the best voices in the music industry. This song is like a metaphor in relation to what happens in the film, it tells us that in love there should be no limits and that all we have to do is look at the signs but also winks at the current reality of the world. Ariana Grande is one of the best singers and with this love/parody song she shows us that besides the message the important thing will always be the voice.

- Tiësto - Ava Max // The Motto.

With Tiësto something happens and is that the years can pass and never ceases to be current, it seems like yesterday that he released "Adagio for strings" and the truth is that it was about 15 years ago. This new song what it has and what catches my attention is the beat and the style of the early 2000's, that sound that you can't get out of your head once you hear it is something very characteristic of this music but especially of him. It's hard for an electronic song to have something remarkable, they are almost always very monotonous and there are few that make it, but this one has a lot to the point that I assure you that you will want to listen to it on loop for a long time.

- Post Malone - The Weeknd // One Right Now.

Here we come to one of the gems. It is incredible how these two monsters of music every time they come out with a new song or production they are always at the top and this good song has been no exception. Here they unite on the one hand the ability to make and write good songs with the ability to interpret accompanied by a voice that I would say is almost unique in the genre. Even the video with that mafia vibe of two sides fighting over an ego issue in love is pretty good. It may seem like a lie but these songs need to pay attention to their lyrics, many people don't do it when that's where all the meaning is.

- DJ Snake, Ozuna, Megan Thee Stallion, LISA of BLACKPINK // SG.

This song has been playing for a while now but I bring it here because it is a sample of how multicultural and diverse music is. The song is amazing, DJ Snake always has us used to catchy rhythms and melodies and this is another of the many proofs. The Latin touch with Ozuna, one of the top of the industry, being the head of the song, Megan Thee Stallion is a phenomenon in the Anglo market, it may not be heard much here in Latin America but in the northern market it sweeps and LISA is a revelation. She is extremely well known, no need to fool yourself but now as a solo artist what she is doing makes no sense. A song to listen to and have a good time, with more than a hundred million reproductions it is clear its success.

- Aitana - Nicki Nicole // Formentera.

Two women who, if they wanted to, could dominate Spanish-speaking music without any problem. Aitana came out of Operación Triunfo in 2017, a program that I saw, being in the top 3, that is, in the big leagues of music has only three years at most and what she has achieved escapes the understanding of many. I discovered Nicki Nicole last year and it was a good discovery, she is currently one of the voices and artists that I like and follow the most. I mentioned her here with her Tiny Desk and if you haven't seen it I advise you to do so. Anyway, a song that tells us that pop is emerging again and with strength and that is something that should make us happy for the sake of music in general.

- Christina Aguilera, Becky G, Nicki Nicole, Nathy Peluso // Pa mis muchachas.

A jewel in every sense. The arrangements found in this song are of another level. The vocals, percussion, guitars, keyboard, it has it all, plus a magnificent fusion of rhythms: salsa, guaracha, even a bit of tango fused together to take it to the pop field.

- Jorge Drexler - C. Tangana // Tocarte.

Drexler is a MASTER when it comes to making music because most of them are stories and he tells them with his unique style and particularity that end up being things of genius. And if we add to that C. Tangana, the best artist of last year for this server, the result is a mix of styles a bit similar but at the same time very different in terms of voices and way of interpreting and singing. An incredible song.
