(ESP-ENG) Estrenos musicales del mes y sus mejores canciones // This month's music releases and their best songs!
Hello friends, good vibes to all.
Here we are again like every month to search and listen to some of those songs that according to me may be the best that have seen the light in recent weeks. This type of publications have been becoming frequent here because as it is known music never stops, never stops completely and being always in constant movement and evolution makes that every week, almost daily we are listening to new songs. Before I used to do them every two months, I think I commented this at the time, but lately the music traffic is so big that choosing five songs in a period of two months is very complicated.
Being a person who is listening to music almost 24/7 it is inevitable that I look for those songs that are playing a lot but more importantly, that I like the most and that is why every month I come to show you this little top. Being summer time many of the songs go that way, but what is that? - Songs with upbeat rhythms, cheerful, the typical song you hear in a disco or on a beach, etc.. The artists know that and take advantage of riding that wave and release music that they know is going to be played for at least a couple of months. So let's go with the list and see what's new...
- Rosalía - Despechá
With Rosalía something very curious happens and it is something that we saw in Shakira, only that it took years for the Colombian to make that change, it happens that Rosalía adapted to the market very quickly and that flamenco singer who used that style in her songs, such as "Pienso en tu mirá" no longer exists. And she understood that the current market, today's trend does not go in that direction, it goes in the direction of urban and even Latin, I would say. You may or may not like the genre or even herself but what cannot be denied is that this woman is very good at what she does, she knew how to adapt to a music that I am sure was not hers and overnight it took off. Despechá is a merengue? or at least it has hints of being one and the truth is that it sounds good, as I said it is the typical summer song. Someone told me that it's a little scary how well Rosalía does Latin genres and yes, he's right. It's impossible for you not to move or hum along to this song and if you do I want you to know that "La Rosalía" has already done her job.
- Calvin Harris - Stay With Me ft Justin Timberlake, Halsey & Pharrell
This song was a pleasant discovery because it is really good. It has several things to mention, the first is that it lasts more than five minutes which is something rare because usually we all know that an average song is about 3 minutes or so but here it does not become heavy or eternal, on the contrary, being so catchy and having 3 different singers makes you not realize how long it lasts. And the second thing is the rhythm, it has a 70's/80's funk style which sounds amazing, at the 20th second you will realize it when the guitar sound starts to sound so particular. Besides the whole video is a visual experience, it's very psychedelic, lots of neon and pastel colors, which is also from those years. Time goes by and Justin Timberlake still has the same style and the same voice, he is one of those artists that never goes out of fashion, just like Pharrell, who here complement each other very well because it is a style that goes a lot with them. And if we add to all this the voice of Halsey in the chorus gives a perfect balance. The song is really brutal, I think it's because I like funk a lot, but yes, another perfect song for the summer.
- Stromae with Camila Cabello - Mon amour
We are with the third song and I decided that it was this one by Stromae. I'm already a big fan of the Frenchman, I think the style and the way he makes music is something extremely creative and nothing like what we are used to hear and another great example of these words is this song. If you notice the base of this song has touches of a "rumba" but also very much in the background it sounds like what seems to be a cuatro that inevitably takes us to a Latin atmosphere and if you add to all that the fact that they sing in French as a result we have a curious song but that is still good. I feel that listening and enjoying Stromae is an acquired taste for everything I said, their music is very peculiar so it is understandable that not everyone likes it. As far as Camila Cabello is concerned, what can I say, I think she looked for the "Latin" touch but without being completely so, in fact there are parts of the song where I hear Cuban references, so I think that's where things are going. Stromae is a very versatile artist that I think everyone should listen to a little more.
- QUEVEDO || BZRP Music Sessions #52
I believe and without any doubt that this song is the hit of the summer, there is no other that is even close to it, it is number one in all the Spotify charts and probably the best Bizarrap session of all the ones he has done. I quickly tell you that Quevedo is a trap singer from the Canary Islands, Spain, very well known in the European country and that lately he was making a lot of noise with his music. "El Biza" is an Argentine songwriter, one of the most important in the world, who at only 23 years old is achieving things that no one, not even the most puritanical in music would imagine he would do. What makes this song so good is the base, being that BZRP's forte, it's a song that as soon as you listen to it you get infected with a brutal energy, the rhythm, the melody, the chorus and the lyrics, everything combined to create a monster. In the second 44 and 1:30 is where those explosive changes that make this song what it is, happens a little like the rest of this list, it is very difficult not to end up moving when listening to it, which is the ultimate goal of this type of songs.
- Hailee Steinfeld - Coast ft. Anderson .Paak
Hailee may not be familiar to many of you but she is not only a singer but also an actress and to refresh your memory she is the star of Hawkeye, the Disney Plus series. Well it turns out that she sings, for a while now, and she does it really well and that she has done a collaboration with Anderson .Paak is proof that she has always been on the right track. I put this song on this list because I was really surprised and she did it for the best, she has a very soft and sweet voice that is even relaxing. This is the typical song you put on if you want to relax and if you want to lighten up a bit. They may not be as energetic as the previous ones but it's one that works perfectly as a summer song; I remember stumbling across it on Spotify's shuffle and right there it went straight to my collection or library because it's one that you connect with fast, it has that whole vibe to it. I really didn't expect this song to be on my list today but as I said, it caught me off guard, music for me often goes hand in hand with feelings and I really liked this one just by listening to it once.
- Bonus Track!!
- Dimitri Vegas x David Guetta x Nicole Scherzinger x Azteck - The Drop
In the Bonus Track I put an electronic song because, if we are in summer, you can't miss this genre and if it's one of Dimitri Vegas with David Guetta, even less. A good song the truth, with the voice of Nicole Sherzinger who is a very well known singer but for me is undervalued, people should know and hear more of her. But well, with this song ends my list, logically there are many more but I focused on personal tastes and the ones that I think are being more listened.
¡Un abrazo a todos, nos escuchamos en la próxima!
Well my people that's all for today, I hope you liked this little top.
¡A hug to everyone, we'll hear you in the next one!
