(ESP-ENG) La película Live-Action llega a los Caballeros de Zodiaco // Live-Action movie comes to the Knights of Zodiac.

A few days ago I wrote in this community that Dragon Ball would return to the big screen in 2022 and that with that we would be reviving one of the great series of our childhood. But the days passed and another news came to light and it is that the also mythical anime series of the nineties, The Knights of the Zodiac, would also make its return to the big screen but in the form of a Live-Action.
News like this I do not deny that I am happy but at the same time I confess that it can be a little scary because it is easier to do it wrong than to make the project culminate with a great movie. In fact there are already several precedents, a few years ago a movie of this same style was made but of Dragon Ball which turned out to be a real disaster and a nuisance for the fans. Let's hope the same thing doesn't happen with Knights of the Zodiac.
The thing is that this anime is extremely long so it would be necessary to know where this project is going to focus. For the moment, I will name the 4 most important sagas so you can remember it a little and then we will talk a little about the movie itself.
- Saga del Santuario // Sanctuary Saga.
This is the first of the sagas also known as the "12 houses". In it we see Seiya getting his Pegasus armor and with it he decides to begin the search for his lost sister years ago so he participates in a tournament where he defeats Phoenix. That defeat triggers a conflict between the bronze knights and those of the sanctuary and in turn it is revealed that Saori is the reincarnation of Athena something that the golden knights do not approve. Saori is wounded and they have 12 hours to save her and for them Seiya and the other knights will have epic battles against the golden ones.
- Saga de Asgard.
After finishing the great battle of the 12 temples, Seiya and the others have the obligation to fight another war in Asgard against the Warrior Gods in order to gather some Sapphires to free Hilda of Polaris from a ring that was put on her against her will. This makes her a sinister and evil person. Some of the novelties that we can appreciate here is the new armor of Seiya which was fixed by the knight of Aries.
- Saga de Poseidón.
This is the shortest saga of the most important ones of this anime. In it, the bronze knights together with Seiya must face the almighty of the seas, Poseidon, invading his temple under the waters to rescue Athena, who is kidnapped. We could say that it is one of the least important of the whole story but still has a very interesting plot.
- Saga de Hades.
This is the last and I think one of the best of this anime. After achieving victory against Poseidon, it is the turn of the most powerful enemy of the goddess Athena; Hades, who has an army of more than 240 spectres that have been snatched and released from the hand of the goddess. It is at that moment when Seiya accompanied by some golden knights go to the underworld crossing the Elysian fields. It is not only one of the best but it is also of great importance and influence for all the spin-offs that would be made later.

This remake is already being filmed, in fact as of today we already know locations, directors, producers and even some actors and actresses that are part of the project. I don't know if I have so much faith in this because it is very difficult to please this audience and we are talking about a series whose peak dates back to the late 80's, that is, it would not be aimed at many of today's young people.
Some of the locations where they are filming are Croatia and Hungary and the companies that are behind everything that has to do with production are Toei Animation, the same of Dragon Ball and Sony Pictures. In fact Toei has a long relationship because they were in charge of the Hades saga and the Sanctuary saga. This can be a good thing because Toei was always in the projects of this series and Sony which is a giant gives rise to the actors are no small thing.
Pero entonces, cuales serían los actores hasta ahora confirmados? - pues la verdad hay varios pero destacan cuatro: Arata Mackenyu, Sean Bean, Madison Iseman y Famke Janssen.

The first on the list, a Japanese-American, is a little known since he appeared in the Pacific Rim series and in anime adaptations such as Samurai X, Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning among others. Sean Bean is best known for his role as Ned Stark in the series Game Of Thrones but this time he will play "Alman Kiddo" in reference to Mitsumasa Kido.
As for the women we have Madison Iseman, she was known for her appearance in Jumanji in 2017. It is known that she will play the role of "Sienna" but in the original series it does not exist so Sienna will be the name to represent Saori. And finally we have Famke Janssen known for her role in X-Men as Snowpiercer, it is unknown what her role will be.
A Latin American actor will be present and it is Diego Tinoco who, according to the information that has been released to the public, will play Ikki, the Phoenix knight. The director will be the Polish Tomasz Baginski who already worked on the well-known series "The Witcher" and the action scenes will be in charge of Andy Cheng who has already been in charge of films such as the latest Marvel movie, Shang-Chi.
Anyway, so far there are reasons to believe that we will have an acceptable adaptation taking into account everything said above, so we have no other choice but to wait and see what they surprise us with and that it is really worth the wait.
