(ESP-ENG) Los campeones de Europa!

Hola amigos, buenas vibras para todos.

Hello friends, good vibes to all.

Little by little we are seeing how the different leagues around Europe are ending, some have already decreed their respective champions while in others the fight is still surprisingly closed. The first champion we met was Napoli in Italy, a team that started the season like a beast attacking every club that got in its way, both in Serie A and in the Champions League; we cannot say the same about their closing because it is true that their performance dropped a little but it was still enough to keep them in the lead. As of the moment I am writing this the difference with the second place is 17 points thanks to the victory over the Champions League finalist by 3-1.

And it was so dominant throughout the season that both the scorer of the league and the leader in assists both belong to Napoli, Osimhen, this Nigerian who is in the eye of several teams but I understand that the Italian club is going to renew him, has so far 23 goals followed by Lautaro Martinez with 20 goals. As for assists we have Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, a Georgian who the truth is a gem, he has 10 assists so far this season and third on that list is another teammate, Piotr Zieliński with 8 assists. Honestly what Spalletti has done with this team I would say is magic, all those numbers are a reflection of the dominance of the Neapolitans who had not lifted the Scudetto for 33 years since a certain Diego Maradona did it.

We move to England where this weekend, after having eliminated Real Madrid in the Champions League, Manchester City would be consecrated for the third consecutive year as the kings of the Premier League. This title denotes several things, the first is the power and quality of the City squad, the second is that we are facing perhaps the best coach in the world and Guardiola, as I said in a previous post, even today continues to rewrite the way to manage in soccer. And if I were to add a third thing it would be the "little" resistance that Arsenal ended up offering. The Gunners, like Napoli themselves, started off quite solidly to the point that at some point in the season they could see themselves as champions of the league but that momentum didn't last long because City were lurking in the background.

A City that has players who are not from this planet and before we focused on Haaland only because obviously he is the one who scores the goals but behind him there is a machine of vision, explosiveness and quality which cannot be overlooked. Players like De Bruyne who is the top assisting player in the Premier League with 16, a Gündoğan who is a mastermind in midfield and who has had a second wind under Pep after his good spell at Dortmund and finally the most intelligent player the Catalan has coached, said by himself, Bernardo Silva. Silva's versatility is unique, he is a player who can play in any area of the field and we can be sure that he will do it impeccably. There are many ingredients that made this City has been crowned, hence we can say that the treble is more feasible than ever.

We continue to cross borders and this time we are in Germany, but with the difference that in the Bundesliga we cannot speak of a champion, or at least not yet. A league that for a long time in this season has been fought and changing leaders from time to time between Bayern and Dortmund could not end in a better way than the way it will end this coming weekend. What's the picture? - Dortmund is in the lead with 70 points while Bayern is in second place with 68 points, so everything will be decided on the last matchday on Saturday. The instability of the Bavarians is brutal and since the departure of Nagelsmann everything has been dark, eliminated from the Champions League, from the German Cup, they have lost more matches than they had lost all season and also showing a very low level of play. Undoubtedly, the decision to leave Nagelsmann at the height at which they did was hasty and the poor performance of Tuchel as coach shows it.

The beauty of it all is that Dortmund does not depend on anyone to win the title, the best thing is that they win so that regardless of what Bayern does, they can be crowned against Mainz 05. Edin Terzić's team has to take advantage of this last chance to win the title, as they still have Jude Bellingham before he leaves the club, as will most likely happen this summer. But it's not all bad as Haller is slowly getting back to fitness after his return from his battle with cancer; this is undoubtedly good news as the French striker in good condition is really fearsome as he proved when he played for Ajax. It will be a Saturday full of tension as there is nothing written, both will go all out.

I am not talking about Barcelona because I already talked about them in a recent post. This weekend they celebrated their league title at home losing against Real Sociedad, nothing new in the performance of Xavi's team who I repeat still have a long way to go. In France PSG is also on the verge of winning the league title again for the second year in a row thanks to Mbappe as Neymar is injured and with the fans and even the club itself totally divorced from Messi. Something I have noticed is that little by little that gap so abysmal that once was between PSG and the rest has been shortening, either because of the low level they can show in games or because Galtier and his process are falling short. In the end I have always said it, PSG is a small club with a lot of money.

Well my people that's all for today, I hope you liked it.
¡Hugs to all, see you next time!
