(ESP-ENG) Qué está pasando con El Bicho? // What's going on with El Bicho?
Hello friends, good vibes to all.
Cristiano Ronaldo in recent hours is in the eye of the storm for a specific fact that occurred in the match against Tottenham on Wednesday and is that according to news reports the Portuguese refused to enter as a replacement in a game that the Red Devils won 2-0 and also went to the locker room before the final whistle. Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened since in a game against Rayo Vallecano in the middle of the year the same thing happened, once he was substituted he went straight to the locker room, the first time they let it go but this time both the coach and the club imposed a punishment.
The punishment is to remove him from the team until further notice so "the bug" will not be at the weekend against Chelsea. But why would such a competitive player, who according to the image he wants to show of never giving up, throw in the towel in such a public and notorious way? - Logically, we fans can't know that answer for sure, but we can "shoot arrows" of the reasons that may be behind this behavior. Some time ago a news came out that CR7 was seeing a psychologist and many things began to speculate, in fact his sister commented that he was going through a hard time personally because of the death of his baby and that this fact had marked him a little.
Already from there we can intuit that there is something that torments him because yes, I do not think that the drop in performance is only physical, in these players the mind is equally or even more important. But obviously that's not all, since the beginning of the Ten Hag era it has always been noted that for the Dutchman Ronaldo is not one of his favorites, in fact he once made it clear that his project would focus on youth thinking in the medium and long term but that CR7 would be a key piece given his hierarchy. This has not been the case, Cristiano is Rashford's understudy and when he plays he is placed as a midfielder, a position that is not one of the Portuguese's favorites, but having players like Antony, Elanga and Sancho himself on the wing makes it difficult to make a place for himself among so much explosiveness and youth.
So from there is from where we must see the unproductivity, the lack of goals and participation in them and above all how boring he looks on the field, throwing frustration. I think he does not find his place in this team, he wanted to leave in the summer market but things did not work out, he knows he is not a priority for Manchester because he became an expendable player. And of course, CR7 is 37 years old, although many do not want to see it he is no longer the same, he is not even the same as he was at Juventus a couple of years ago, I have seen how when he has the field only the defenders reach him without problems, something that a while ago was unthinkable.
The Portuguese so far this season has scored just 2 goals, that is a figure that is far from the 18 I think he scored last season and not to mention what he did with Juventus a couple of years ago that almost reached 30. It is worrying because it is a hard fall without brakes, as I said I do not think it is a matter of spoiled or rebelliousness, there is something internal that is really affecting him, either the bad relationship with Ten Hag added to the personal problems he may have. We know that legends are not going to last forever but when we have a player of Ronaldo's ability who has already spoken of his intention to play in the 2024 Euro but on the other hand we see his current performance the truth is that it is a bit disconcerting.
But what if we side with the people who say that the Portuguese has to play if or if because of who he is, is there a reason behind that? - If a player is not performing as he should, because CR7 is not doing it, as simple as that he should not be in the starting lineup until he improves and gets back to form. Within a club there have to be limits and hierarchies and within a locker room those in charge are the coaches, they decide and are the voice of command, they can listen to the veterans because many of them are important figures for the younger players but never be more than the coaching staff itself and their actions should not go against the guidelines that were given. So when any of this fails, the whole chain is broken and disrupted and what is happening happens.
In short, we all know who Cristiano Ronaldo is, one of the best players in history, a player who despite his age is capable of contributing much more than what he has done this season but when things are not aligned in his favor there is little he can do on the field. Honestly I think it would be easier for Ten Hg to be sincere, if it were the case, and express that the Portuguese does not count for him so that CR7 looks for another way in the next winter market, this novel tires and is annoying, it's like a pulse to see who can do more but in the end the losers are all.
So, what's wrong with El Bicho? - Well, the usual, what happens to all players of a certain age, a brutal drop in pace accompanied by alleged personal problems that have made it end in a gap in his career. I think it is not the end of CR7 but I do believe that the punishment imposed by ManU is good for him to see if he clarifies and corrects what he has to correct although it is very clear that the relationship with Manchester may be broken and there is nothing to do. At this point it will depend on the professionalism of the player on how he should face what is coming and try as much as possible not to lose the north because bad decisions can mean points of no return GOAT Cristiano Ronaldo.
Well my people that's all for today, I hope you liked it.
