As usual, I keep looking for those movies that are not so well known and that for some reason call my attention and make me want to see them. Here the commercial and mainstream doesn't exist, this is a totally different material to what many around here are used to see, does that make it of bad quality? - Not at all, on the contrary, I found it an extraordinary film with an intense and incredibly frenetic pace, like few others I've seen. And we are facing a genre that does not have much to offer in this world of anime and manga, I'm talking about car races that even if you think otherwise I think they have a certain charm.

Como ya viene siendo costumbre yo sigo en la busqueda de esas películas que no son tan conocidas y que por algún motivo me llaman la atención y me hace querer verlas. Acá lo comercial y lo mainstream no existe, esto es un material totalmente diferente a lo que muchos de por acá estamos acostumbrados a ver, ¿eso hace que sea de mala calidad? - para nada, al contrario, me pareció una película extraordinaria con un ritmo intenso e increíblemente frenética, como pocas de las que he visto. Y es que estamos ante un género que no tiene mucho que ofrecer en este mundo del anime y manga, hablo de las carreras automovilísticas que aunque se piense de otra manera creo que tienen un cierto encanto.

This story is based on a race, Redline, which is held once every five years. We are at some point in the future so cars with wheels are no longer seen, there are only hovercrafts but the fanaticism is such for the cars and these races that the drivers refuse to change and among them we have JP. This guy with a weird hairstyle is one of the most fearless and cold-blooded of the group who wants to win this prestigious race and plans to do so by modifying his car to the maximum even if it could lead him to death. But beware that the film is not just about racing and that's it, there is a background where conspiracies and love take an interesting leading role.

Esta historia se basa sobre una carrera, Redline, la cual se realiza una vez cada cinco años. Estamos en algún momento del futuro por lo que los carros con ruedas ya no se ven, solo existen aerodeslizadores pero el fanatismo es tal por los carros y estas carreras que los pilotos se niegan a cambiar y entre ellos tenemos a JP. Este tipo de peinado raro es uno de lo más intrépidos y con sangre fría de todo ese grupo quien desea consagrarse ganando esta prestigiosa carrera y lo planea hacer modificando su carro al máximo incluso si eso lo pudiera llevar a la muerte. Pero ojo que la película no es solo de correr y ya, hay un trasfondo en donde las conspiraciones y el amor toman un rol protagónico interesante.

Behind these races there are many interests, some of them dark, which will give some depth to the film, such as government interests and even the mafia itself. Also, as I said, there is love and there is a girl, also a pilot and one of the best, called Sonoshee who will be the center of this part of the plot. I don't know if you remember a cartoon called "Crazy Cars" by Hanna-Barbera, in case you do, this movie is very similar to the plot of that animated series: a race that you had to win and to do so you could use any possible means, even weapons to eliminate your rivals. Honestly I was very surprised, at no time I was bored, I think it is impossible to do so with this movie.

Detrás de estas carreras hay muchos intereses, algunos de ellos oscuros, los cuales les darán cierta profundidad a la película, como por ejemplo intereses gubernamentales y hasta de la propia mafia. También y como ya dije está el amor y es que hay una chica, piloto también y de las mejores, llamada Sonoshee que será el centro de esta parte de la trama. No se si ustedes recuerdan una comiquita llamada "Los autos locos" de Hanna-Barbera, en caso de que si pues esta película es algo muy parecido en cuanto a trama a aquella serie animada: una carrera que había que ganar y para hacerlo se podía usar cualquier medio posible, incluso armas para poder eliminar a sus rivales. Honestamente me sorprendió mucho, en ningún momento me aburrí, creo que es imposible hacerlo con esta película.

One of the first things I want to comment on is the animation. When I finished watching it I considered it one of the most unique and different that you can find. It is one where we see a lot of kinetic, there is a lot of movement even in the calmest parts, maybe if you are not very used to it you get a little lost in everything that is happening on the screen, I confess that sometimes it is a little complicated to keep track of it. At the level of features and expressions is very well done, I noticed a lot of realism and that for me is important, especially with textures of the skin and body; the truth is that I found it very top. Many colors, many contrasts, for me one of the best things.

De las primeras cosas de las que quiero comentar es acerca de la animación. Cuando la terminé de ver la consideré de las más únicas y diferentes que se pueden encontrar. Es una en donde vemos mucho cinetismo, hay mucho movimiento incluso en las parte más calmadas, puede que si no estás muy acostumbrado te pierdas un poco en todo lo que está pasando en la pantalla, confieso que a veces es un poco complicado seguirle el rastro. A nivel de rasgos y expresiones está muy bien hecha, noté mucho realismo y eso para mi es importante, sobretodo con texturas de la piel y el cuerpo; la verdad es que me pareció muy top. Muchos colores, muchos contrastes, para mi de las mejores cosas.

The plot if simpler, it is what it is, a race in which you have to win and not die trying. There is also a subplot that involves those who control the place where the race is going to take place, it turns out that they do not agree with all this so they will also do everything possible to stop all these pilots adding more danger and adrenaline to the race. Despite the basics of it all it is a super entertaining movie, even if you are a person who does not care for this genre; what I could tell you is that it has things of Fast and Furious, sail that way to see if you dare to take a look at it. It has violence, as always there are also its details and sexual innuendos, it has a little bit of everything, there is always something going on.

La trama si es más simple, es lo que es, una carrera en la cual hay que ganar y no morir en el intento. También hay una subtrama que involucra a los que controlan el sitio en donde se va a llevar a cabo la carrera, resulta que ellos no están de acuerdo con todo esto por lo que también harán todo lo posible para detener a todos estos pilotos agregando más peligro y adrenalina a la carrera. A pesar de lo básico de todo es una película súper entretenida, incluso si eres una persona a la que no le llama la atención este género; lo que te podría decir es que tiene cosas de Rápido y Furioso, vela de esa forma a ver si te animas a echarle un ojo. Tiene violencia, como siempre también hay sus detalles e insinuaciones sexuales, tiene de todo un poco, siempre está pasando algo.

The characters are quite particular. JP is the typical daredevil who always wants to win but behind those cravings there are other hidden reasons that move him. He is a guy who can pretend to be one thing but in the end turns out to be someone totally different. Sonoshee is another one who has more reasons than anyone else to stand out and win, there is a theme of feeling inferior with respect to the others and is that she is the only woman in the whole group so the need is greater. That attitude has made her the best among all and she always shows that in the movie.

Los personajes son bastante particulares. JP es el típico temerario que quiere ganar siempre pero que detrás de esas ansías hay otras razones ocultas que lo mueven. Es un tipo que puede aparentar una cosa pero al final resulta siendo alguien totalmente diferente. Sonoshee es otra que tiene más razones que nadie para destacar y ganar, hay un tema de sentirse inferior con respecto a los demás y es que es la única mujer de todo el grupo por lo que la necesidad es más grande. Esa actitud ha hecho que sea la mejor entre todos y eso lo demuestra siempre en la película.

In the end we are in front of a different and very entertaining movie, personally I enjoyed it, it has a very well done and very peculiar animation. The plot is simple but that doesn't matter because the focus is on the race and everything that happens around it. I give it a 7.5/10. If you want to see something totally different from the usual and get out of the box where sometimes we get into watching what we always like, this is a good option. It lasts less than two hours. Al final estamos ante una película diferente y muy entretenida, en lo personal la disfruté, tiene una animación muy bien lograda y muy peculiar. La trama es simple pero eso no importa porque el centro de atención es la carrera y todo lo que pasa alrededor de ella. Le doy un 7.5/10. Si quieren ver algo totalmente distinto a lo de siempre y salir un poco de la caja en donde a veces nos metemos viendo siempre lo que nos gusta, esta es una buena opción. Dura menos de dos horas. Honestamente está es una de esas películas que uno tiene que ver varias veces por la cantidad de cosas que pasan simultáneamente, la trama es rebuscada y simple a la vez pero lo que ame es su apartado artístico, una de las películas que visualmente más me encanta ❤️ excelente post bro

Así es, hay partes donde de verdad se hace muy difícil seguirle la pista. Pero si, el trazado de la animación es increíble, pocas veces he visto algo igual.

Redline's animation is so good. Such style. I wish there was more like it, more anime that just went all-out and did their best.

Well yes, the truth is that this animation is very top, I was very surprised. The style, the colors, the speed, there are very few similar nowadays as Redline.
