(ESP-ENG) Hamilton y Ferrari por fin vieron la luz
Hello friends, good vibes to all.

After more than a year in which Lewis Hamilton was considered to be on the verge of retirement, with many saying his move to Ferrari was a mistake, and facing all sorts of criticism and comments, the day of his redemption finally arrived, the day he showed who he truly is. At the Barcelona circuit, we saw the seven-time world champion claim his first victory with the Italian team after a superb race, where perhaps the motorsport gods lent him a little help. Now, with this result, the Briton sits second in the championship standings, something unthinkable at the start of the season.
The Circuit de Catalunya is one of those tracks that can be torture to watch because overtaking is so difficult; it doesn't allow for the kind of racing that other circuits do. But yesterday, something happened: thanks to the extremely high temperatures, over 50 degrees Celsius on the track, the tires were practically useless, rendering some drivers' tire choices completely ineffective. What I mean is that in the absence of overtaking opportunities, pit stops, undercuts, and strategic tire use will always be valuable. In the end, this is what added some excitement to a race that turned out to be very exciting because it generated some tension and battles on the track. Mercedes, Ferrari, and McLaren were the only drivers who joined the party; Red Bull, unfortunately, isn't having a good season.

What needed to be done? Many started on soft tires, others on mediums, but the hard tires were the ones that ultimately worked, and they figured that out through trial and error. Let's talk about Mercedes. Russell redeemed himself somewhat after the last two races by securing pole position and starting first, while Antonelli started third. The truth is that Mercedes is very strong; they put up a fight yesterday. It's known that the internal battle is ongoing, and the team is letting them resolve it on the track. But this time it was Kimi who had bad luck. An electrical failure in his car took him out after he had masterfully overtaken Russell with five laps to go. And yes, once again the young Italian was better than his teammate, and this is something George should take into account.
Ferrari was a world apart. Hamilton, as I mentioned before, had a race where he took full advantage of every opportunity the race presented. He was one of the few who started on soft tires, which meant his strategy was very different, allowing him to observe the others from the sidelines. During the Mercedes pit stops, he took the lead because he had already pitted earlier, and it was precisely then that providence intervened: a VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) for Alonso, if I remember correctly, which allowed him to change tires without losing position and thus be ready for the remainder of the race. Leclerc, on the other hand, wasn't so lucky; a mechanical problem with his suspension took him out of the points when he was actually running quite well.

And finally, we have McLaren. I think they're still not at the level of these two teams, but at least in Barcelona they looked a bit closer and were able to fight and even get a podium finish. They also looked fast in practice, but well, in terms of race pace they're still a step behind. It's incredible to see Lando, the current champion, so far back this season. With these results, Antonelli remains the leader, but since he didn't score any points, Hamilton and Russell have closed the gap. The championship is getting tighter, which will make the next races very close. I'm happy for Lewis Hamilton; he deserved his victory with Ferrari, adding another team he's won with—now that makes three. See you in two weeks in Austria, Red Bull's home race.

¡Un abrazo a todos, nos leemos en la próxima!
Well folks, that's all for today. I hope you enjoyed it.
¡Hugs to everyone, see you next time!
