When you see Him

To the one whose breath has been taken
Seek the face of Him, who you would stand before

Tell him about us
Our stands, our moves and our falls
The generation after, now and before
Ask him why
Why we wound and bleed while he watch
Why we lie but no longer in green pastures
Why the still water He lead us now turns flood
What about goodness and mercy, what about steadfast love?

Tell him about the world
The pandemic, rulers and the curse
The situation at hand, to come and afore
Ask him why
Why the sky now seems to be dim and blur
Why peace now seems to be another fearful war
Why the day now looks darker than the night we saw
What about the stars and moon, what about us?

Tell Him to forgive us
Tell Him we still believe and trust.
