A letter to mini-me (my little one)

So I came across this challenge in the @motherhood community and for a passionate reason I wanted to write about it.

Hello, my little shine.

So mommy wants to disturb you today with so much love because she can't help it...but firstly how's your day going hm? Okay, I know how it's going cause you eat three times a day and cry a lot when you're not given what you want. Which is so me...hehe🥰

I'm writing this letter to tell you how blessed I am to have you, and how my heart can never stop loving you... maybe cause you look like your daddy more than me hehe.

I wanted to tell you how I would never trade you for anything even when you kept me up all night, or when we raced through the finish line from one month to nine months, remember you gave me terrible craves and your daddy was a victim of it...he couldn't stand it sometimes, but it was fun till the labor and all, that's when I popped you out, but you don't have to know how.

I don't only love you because you're my child, I love you because you are the greatest treasure in my life, you and Daddy....it's like you walked into my life and everything became more beautiful and colorful.

I never really got a chance of being loved by both my parents, I never really experience it but that doesn't mean I don't love them but I promise to love you and take care of you because you would grow up more intelligent, smarter, well being, disciples, caring, kind, beautiful, respected, and respect others. I want you to follow your dreams and watch me stand by you as a momma lioness would. I want you to be passionate with whatever you do and do it right, failure shouldn't scare you, but that doesn't mean you gonna fail every time especially not in school...you would get the whipping of your life young lady/man, but that doesn't mean I don't love you, it just means I want you to grow up better than I did, well disciple and an achiever.

I want you to know that the world is never so kind, so you need to be vigilant about bad people, I would protect you through the difficult times and celebrate you through the beautiful moments of your life, I want us to be best friends, one that you are so happy to tell all your secrets to even to your first crush and first love so that I can advise you on what to do...when you get your first crush would be like when you're 39.😂

I want you to know that nothing comes easy if you don't get up in the morning and make up your mind to work harder than yesterday. Even in relationships till marriage, you need to walk your path and allow the rest to God.

And don't you forget to go on your knees even though the worst days to say "lord thank you."

I want us to go out on outings, and vacations and walk hand in hand on the beach while you tell me about school and the reason why your teacher had called me at work telling me that you beat up a bully, and I want to be like;

"No baby you don't beat people up."

And you would be like;

"Mommy they got what they deserve after kicking my school bag."

And I want to just smile and tell you to tell your teacher next time but still be proud because there was this time of my life I was bullied and I couldn't stand up for myself. So I want you to be stronger than me.

I also want to see you and your daddy betting on which team would win in football, I want to see you do things that would make him smile, maybe like cook his favorite meal just to get extra pocket money, I want to see how he helps you from you first baby step to helping you lead how to drive a car, I want you to say sorry immediately when your wrong and retain from repeating the same mistake but I want you to love and respect him, see him as the head of the family and of our home.

I also want you to be friendly, and forgiven, make the elderly feel at home with you because you're respectful, but don't ever be taken for granted. I want your confidentiality level at its highest, bold to speak out in public and on stages....to address people. I want you to offer help to people you see in trouble but also be mindful. I don't want you to accept just anyone into your life, you can take your time in choosing your set of friends.

I want you to follow your dreams, I don't mind whatever you want to be as long as it's irrelevant and pays you in billions...hehe😂, be a pilot, a scientist with weird clothing, a detective, a singer, or a dancer, a doctor or a philosopher, an astronaut...be it whatever you want to be as long as you are relevant and your profession is reaching out to people in a position light, and as long as you are a man or woman of values, with ethical principles then it's cool for me.

And when you grow up to be a parent yourself I want you to look at the good old days, when I wake you up so early for school, or when I told you to go wash the dishes when you were so intrigued by your favorite movie on Netflix..and when I took your phone and ground you, or even when me and your Dad was self-sacrificing for yourself and taught the importance of loving yourself. I want you to look at this little moments and be happy you had a Mom and Dad who got your back.

And you dye your hair when you're 20 that's final.

But regardless if you don't do most of the things I have mentioned, just know that I would cherish you from the day I conceive you to till my last breath
