How to make a crochet knitted cactus [ENG/ESP]

These days I have been thinking about my old garden, I had lots and lots of succulent plants, which are my favorites.
Unfortunately now I only have a few because they are incompatible with my cat. He can't stand me paying so much attention to my plants, he is very jealous, I have never seen cats like that.
Well anyway some survive, but my cacti don't ☹️, that's why I came up with the idea of making a crocheted one.
Here is the process of creating this beautiful project and the best thing is that my cat won't be able to destroy it I think... 🤔.

Estos días he estado pensando en mi antiguo jardín, tenía montones y montones de plantas suculentas, que son mis favoritas.
Desgraciadamente ahora solo tengo unas pocas porque son incompatibles con mi gato. No soporta que preste tanta atención a mis plantas, es muy celoso, nunca había visto gatos así.
Bueno de todas formas algunas sobreviven, pero mis cactus no ☹️, por eso se me ocurrió hacer uno en crochet.
Aquí el proceso de creación de este hermoso proyecto y lo mejor es que mi gato no podrá destruirlo... creo 🤔.

  • Thread for cream colored amirugumi
  • Thread for brown colored amirugumi
  • Stitch marker
  • crochet 3 mm
  • Scissors
  • Needle
  • Synthetic cotton
  • Hilo para amirugumi de color verde

  • Hilo para amirugumi de color amarillo
  • Marcador de puntos

Row 1: we make a magic ring with 6 single crochet .
Row 2: (1 increase) x6. Total stitches 12.
Row 3:(1 single crochet, 1 increase) x 6. Total stitches 18.
Row 4: (2 single crochet, 1 increase) x 6. Total stitches 24.
Rows 5 (3 single crochet, 1 increase) x 6. Total stitches 30.
Row 6:Just take up the back strand (1 increase, 9 single crochet) x 3. Total stitches 33.
Row 7: 6 (1 increase, 10 single crochet) x 3. Total stitches 36.
Row 8: ( 1 increase, 11 single crochet) x 3. Total stitches 39.
Row 9: (1 increase, 12 single crochet) x 3. Total stitches 42.
Row 10: (1 decrease through the front strand, 12 single crochet stitches) x 3. Total stitches 39.
Row 11: single crochet only. Total stitches 39.
Row 12: (1 decrease through the front row, 11 single crochet ) x 3. Total stitches 36.
Row 12: (1 decrease through the front row, 11 single crochet ) x 3. Total stitches 36.
Row 13 single crochet only. Total stitches 39.
Row 14 (1 decrease through the front row, 10 single crochet stitches) x 3. Total stitches 33.
Row 15 single crochet only. Total stitches 33.
Row 16 (1 decrease through the front row, 9 single crochet stitches) x 3. Total stitches 30.
Row 17 single crochet only. Total stitches 30.
Row 18 We knit a chain and then we knit 30 double crochet stitches through the back strand. Before finishing the last stitch we change color to make the potting soil.
Row 19 (1 decrease through the front strand, 3 single crochet stitches) x 6. Total stitches 24.
Row 20 (1 traditional decrease, 2 single crochet) x 6. Total stitches 18.
Row 21 (1 traditional decrease, 1 single crochet) x 6. Total stitches 12.

Now it is time to fill the pot halfway with synthetic cotton.
Row 22 Traditional decreases only. Total stitches 6.

We cut and leave the yarn, now we close with the needle taking the 6 stitches of the front yarn.
To finish we pass the needle through the center to the base and pull.

Fila 8: (1 aumento, 11 puntos bajos) x 3. Total de puntos 39.
Fila 9: (1 aumento, 12 puntos bajos) x 3. Total de puntos 42.
Fila 10:(1 disminución por la hebra delantera, 12 puntos bajos) x 3. Total de puntos 39.
Fila 11: Sólo puntos bajos. Total de puntos 39.
Fila 12:(1 disminución por la hebra delantera, 11 puntos bajos) x 3. Total de puntos 36.
Fila 13: Sólo puntos bajos. Total de puntos 36.
Fila 14: (1 disminución por la hebra delantera, 10 puntos bajos) x 3. Total de puntos 33.
Fila 15: Sólo puntos bajos. Total de puntos 33.
Fila 16: (1 disminución por la hebra delantera, 9 puntos bajos) x 3. Total de puntos 30.
Fila 17: Sólo puntos bajos. Total de puntos 30.
Fila 18 Tejemos una cadena y enseguida 30 puntos altos por la hebra trasera . Antes de terminar el último punto cambiamos de color para hacer la tierra de la maceta.
Fila 19 (1 disminución por la hebra delantera, 3 puntos bajos) x 6. Total de puntos 24.
Fila 20 (1 disminución tradicional, 2 puntos bajos) x 6. Total de puntos 18.
Fila 21 (1 disminución tradicional, 1 punto bajo) x 6. Total de puntos 12.

Ahora es momento de rellenar la maceta con algodón sintético hasta la mitad.
Fila 22 Sólo disminuciones tradicionales. Total de puntos 6.

Cortamos y dejamos hilo, ahora cerramos con la aguja cogiendo los 6 puntos de la hebra delantera.
Para terminar pasamos la aguja por el centro hasta la base y tiramos.

Yo hice 4 hojas, pero se pueden hacer más o repetir algunas, queda al gusto del tejedor.
Las cosemos entre ellas, luego a la maceta.

Row 3: 5 chains and in the first two we knit two single crochet and in the next two we knit two slip stitches. In the same stitch we will knit another petal with the same steps as above, that is, in each stitch there will be two petals.
