The 6.1 magnitude hit us

We all know that December is the month of love that a family will celebrate a Christmas eve and New year. But it's seems it's an unexpected disaster came up in my place at Mindanao at Bislig city. I'm living at Surigao del Sur that were totally blessed because of the nice beaches that we had.

Last December 2,2023 it's Saturday night. While I'm watching a TV around 10:37pm, our room began to move faster that I couldn't imagined it's an earthquake. My youngest son Collin looking at me and said "I'm scared mommy". I'm so scared also because I thought our house will be collapsed any moment. The impact was so strong.
After few seconds my sister Josephine call me that "it's an earthquake Jean, let's go down". I hurriedly carry baby Collin that I felt dizzy because our house really moves faster. Our electric fan, ref and our table moves forward and some stuffs been falling. I'm really shaking in that moment and my heart beats faster because of scared. Me and my sister living at the 2nd floor and my parents is in downstairs.
I didn't screenshot the first alert because I turn on the flashlight on my phone. The electricity is gone. The 6.1 magnitude hit us. We go outside our house along with our neighbors. The ground was still moving so long that we keep praying to God for our safeness. I've received an earthquake alert system on my phone and also my siblings.
We're very thankful that were all safe with my family. The NDRRMC send a messages to my phone about the earthquake and I expected that hinatuan will be worst rather on us because the PAGASA is located in that area. I'm worried with my aunties and my cousins out there. I never expected this one will happened but since when I was a kid we really experienced a strong earthquakes but this one is different.
We experienced a lot of aftershocks, we couldn't sleep that night because every now and then the earthquake really attack us. This kind of disaster make people realized how life is important. We're scared to die. We need to survived not for ourselves but also to our kids.
Yesterday morning I've received an alert again around 6:35 am and it's 5.1 magnitude and we go downstairs again. We don't have enough sleep and for God sake my head is really pain. The trauma we've got is not a joke especially to our kids. We're all scared even my parents.

While I'm checking my social media accounts, I've been mentioning by sis @pinkchic. Thank you sis! You still remember where I lived. Thanks for the message and I remembered @erikasue because of you😔. I really appreciate all the messages from my discord family. Thanks @wittyzell, @romeskie, @lhes and @tpkidkai. It means a lot for me eventhough we didn't know personally.
One of the bad news we've heared last December 2,2023 is about the TSUNAMI. People been evacuating to the highest area especially the people lives near the sea. The streets were so noisy even it's midnight. Actually we didn't evacuate and we just stay at home. Some of our neighbors really evacuates. We just pray hard that everything will be okay. We don't need to lose hope and keeping stronger is the only way we can survived. Think positive that God will make a way.

Even at my Facebook I've received a lot of miscalls and messages from my siblings, cousins and friends. I've got teary teary eyes while I'm reading all their messages. The worried they felt on me and to my family is really touchy. They still remember me despite of their busyness in life. How grateful I am to have them.
As you can see the photo above, the notes above their profile is the undying thankful messages to God for protecting us. We will never forget thanking him. As of now we still experience the aftershocks. Our humble house really swing😭. Oh God help us always.
That's all for today and I'm still shaking while I'm writing this blog. I can't eat properly because of the aftershocks. Don't ever forget to pray not for the moment that you want or your in a bad situation. Have faith in God always.

I hope you are all safe there Jean! Watch out for signs and for announcements lang jud pud. If di madala, evacuate nalng pud nya mo. Prepare na mo daan sa mga things nnyo para kuha nalang bag then dagan if ever something worse happens. I pray na nothing worse will happen.
Yes witt, salamatay. It takes weeks or months dw ning aftershocks huhuhu. Naunsa nmn ning earth ui kuyawan nmn ta ani pirmi.

Gosh, ang lakas nyan, 4 point something palang nga wagas na takot namin, what more if 6 magnitude na. Thanks heaven your family is safe. Dapat talaga alerto kapag ganito, kapag pinangunahan ng panic, aguy na. And nabasa ko din about sa tsunami in fb, sana naman di mangyari yaan aguy. May mga aftershock oaba?

Hello Bob! Thank you and I'm still scared with the earthquake huhuhu. The aftershocks everyday make us paranoid.
I can only imagine I have only felt a little shake one time. The fault line was a long ways way. I can't imagine one close and of that magnatitutude.
