Love Thy ART!

WHAT IS ART?

*Art serves as a channel of expression and development. It creates a new unique reality where I can comfortably react to the challenge of life and appreciate hidden meaning in various circumstances for the betterment of my existence. Through art, my life becomes the subject of my creativity by finding peace of mind in ugly situations and breaking the monotony of life. Thus, art is not limited to a squared canvas but everything and everywhere.*

As defined by Aristotle,"art is the right reason of doing things". Indeed through our art, we can touch the heart of others and inspire them. Because we are making art to express ourselves, emotions, thoughts, and ideas with a good intention to connect with others. Not to degrade and put hate on them. Just like putting our thoughts in writing. I was a junior high school student and wrote a persuasive essay entitled "A Matter of Friendship" to reconcile my two best friends. Luckily my paper was picked to be read aloud in front of my classmates to make my friends realize that their misunderstanding is only a test of friendship. Since the other friend of mine was only concerned with the situation of our friend, she gave her advice but misunderstood. After reading the last sentences, I looked at my friends with the hope that they understood my good intention. The sentences were: "Through good communications and relationship with our friends, we don't have any arguments. Start being a good friend before it's too late. Seize the day and have no regrets". Through the art of writing, I convey my pure intention and connect with my friends without making further lengthy explanations that they are not ready to listen to yet. The essay made them reconcile and realize that friendship does not end in a misunderstanding but is strengthened by it. Thus, we are making art for the greater good with a reason to express ourselves in any medium we want to communicate with our fellows. ****
