Roy, a being from another planet

I am glad to be able to greet you once again today, I sincerely hope that all of you and your families are well and safe. Today I am pleased to visit again this beautiful community and share with you a new fiction story, I hope you like it and that you can enjoy and distract yourselves a little by reading it.

That night I was in front of the mirror of my dear grandmother's old pink hairdresser, behind me, she was brushing my hair before going to sleep, I used to spend hours getting ready for bed and my grandmother was patiently waiting to see me asleep, so she could go to bed. That night grandma went to her room and a little dazed I woke up after hearing a loud noise, a light came through my window and it was such that I had to cover my eyes with the blankets, I quickly ran to my grandmother's room and saw her sleeping soundly, so I decided not to wake her up.

Curiosity invaded me and I went to the window to see what was happening, outside a light was pointing directly at the window and did not allow me to see well, bravely I put on my jacket and some boots for the cold and decided to see what was going on, I went downstairs terrified and when I opened the door the light had disappeared, but right there was a small and beautiful puppy. I was very surprised, that little puppy had come in a big ship full of lights so strong that my eyes could not see it, that puppy came from another place far away and I was very sure of this.

Having in my hands such a special being, I knew that I had to take care of him and protect him because, as in the movies, someone would want to come and take him away from me, I took off my jacket and hid the puppy inside it and ran back home, straight to my room. When I arrived, I wanted to lie down on my bed and leave him in a cardboard box with a cushion, however, he was making very loud noises, maybe he was trying to communicate, but I did not understand his language, I only know that when I was near him, he stopped talking, I did not want my grandmother to wake up and know that I had brought a strange being into the house without her permission, so I lay down on the carpet next to him and a few minutes later, I fell fast asleep.

My plan was for my grandmother not to find out and to keep it hidden in my closet if necessary, but I was so tired that I couldn't get up early to hide it, so I was awakened by a scream from my grandmother who was startled to feel something sniffing her feet. Grandma was upset and wanted to throw little Roy out of the house, but I told her so many times that he was a special being and that we should be nice to him, since he came from somewhere else, that unable to make me feel sad, she agreed to keep him hidden in the house to protect him. At that moment I was happy that she understood and took Roy back to the cardboard box to hide him.

That became his hiding place for a while, but soon he no longer fit in there and was free inside the house to run and play everywhere, a sweet and kind being that accompanied me every day whether it was good or bad, he undoubtedly became my best friend, yes, that being that probably came from a planet that I would never know about because I did not know its language, had become my best friend and I did not plan to ever leave him. Years went by and he became bigger and bigger, he had adopted the shape of a Great Dane earth dog, although this made my grandmother a little uneasy, the great affection she had for Roy made her forget him.

It was only when I grew up that I knew that those lights shining in my window, was a car parked in the wrong place, although it was not a being from another planet for me it was a being too special, that was the logical thing to think when I reached my adulthood, however, Roy was so amazing that a small part of me, still believes that he came from somewhere far away just to keep me company when I needed him most. His true friendship and faithfulness is unlike anything I have ever known in this world.
