Between Dreams and Responsibilities: Exploring the Forces That Temporarily Distanced Me from Hive and other Web3 Platforms

Life is a constant juggling act, and often, we find ourselves caught up in a lot of responsibilities and commitments. Although my absence may have looked sudden, it was actually caused by a number of circumstances that required a lot of my time, effort, and attention. In particular,the search of a new career opportunity, my Baby Ethan is growing so fast that he needs parent's attention and my little shoe business's recent physical store opening have all significantly contributed to temporarily removing me from the Platform.

Opening of Sole Spot's Physical Store

The culmination of years of hard work and determination resulted in the opening of a physical store for my small shoe business Sole Spot Tandag. It took a lot of planning, preparation, and execution to set up the store, and it took a long time. Although I had some flexibility in handling the internet portion of the business, I had to be there all the time at the physical store. It became essential for me to personally manage operations, engage with clients, and ensure a seamless transition from an online environment to a physical store. My business had a huge turning point with the opening of the store, which brought a flood of consumers and increased the demands on my time and energy.

Baby Ethan is Growing so Fast

With the little success of my shoe business came the recognition of the need to adapt and grow, but I soon realized that another equally important aspect of my life needed attention — my son Ethan. Babies grow up at an astonishing pace, and it became imperative for my partner and me to provide Ethan with the love, care, and guidance he required during this critical stage of his life.

Every moment spent with him became precious, as we witnessed his first steps, heard his first words, and marveled at his rapid development. We decided to give him all of our time to Ethan in order to assure his overall development, striking a balance between our professional, parental, and personal obligations. Despite our future plans to hire a baby sitter to help with some of the duties, our current priority is still tending to Ethan's needs personally.

An exciting new job opportunity

A wonderful new job opportunity with the potential for career advancement and the ability to broaden my professional horizons became available. Accepting this role required me to venture into unfamiliar terrain where I had to prove myself to my new boss and colleagues. I had to devote a lot of time, effort, and attention if I wanted to succeed in this capacity. I had to prioritize my responsibilities in order to adjust to the demands of the new employment. During this time, it was most important to build a solid foundation and leave a lasting impression at work.
