Bueno, a empezar!!

https://tenor.com/es-US/view/star-trek-picard-patrick-stewart-empathy-hmm-gif-17402989

Hello again, fellow readers.

Today I'm back with this amazing new Ladies of Hive initiative, this time with some very interesting questions... Well, let's get started!!!

https://tenor.com/es-US/view/star-trek-picard-patrick-stewart-empathy-hmm-gif-17402989

According to the Internet, Euthanasia is the intervention voluntarily accepted by the patient and performed by a medical professional, which accelerates the death of a terminally ill person, with the intention of avoiding unnecessary suffering and pain. Do you agree with this way of dying, do you think it dignifies the person in his decision of how to leave or, on the contrary, do you think it should not be practiced? Could you argue your point of view?

I am aware of how controversial this topic is, I know there are many people with different opinions and I respect that as long as they respect mine.

I personally and my whole family had to see my grandmother suffer from breast cancer, which in time she beat but it came back twice more and the last one was with metastasis, I saw my grandmother fight against this disease for more than ten years, and four months ago she passed away.

I remember many times my grandmother telling me that she no longer wanted to live, she was exhausted of going to the doctor, of not getting the medicines, of the pain and the great discomfort she felt, of no longer being able to be active in sports, to see my grandmother suffer not only from physical pain but also from such a great emotional pain was the worst thing that we as family members could live, To hear her tell me every morning that when she opened her eyes it was a martyrdom, not being able to breathe, not being able to walk, not having strength, that she was grateful for the new day she was given, but that she also wished they would take her away, it was not easy for any of us and much less could we judge her because she was the only one who was suffering.

So my answer is clear and concise. I AM IN FAVOR OF EUTHANASIA!!!

I can't be selfish to see someone suffering, to have the possibility to bring it up to the patient and let him decide about his body and tell you what he really wants, because it's his body, he's the one who is suffering and no person should bypass that decision.

Unfortunately, in my country it is not legalized, which is a pity because if we had had the opportunity to ask my grandmother about it, she would be accepted without any restraint and we, even though we would miss her, would not dare to usurp her final decision because we would be clear that a person's life does not belong to us, the person decides what to do with his body and his mind.

On March 8 we celebrate Women's Day, so we invite you to write a story in honor of women, with fictional characters, in a place that lives in your imagination, and with an unexpected outcome. Remember, your imagination is the limit.

Lucía, a kind and strong woman, always with a huge smile on her face and who gave everything for her family, was forced to look for a job in a house of a wealthy family as a cleaning woman.

Mr. Steven, a tall and elegant man, received her with a nice gesture of courtesy, as did his wife, Mrs. Karmelia.

As time went by, Lucia became good friends with Mrs. Karmelia and she noticed that Mr. Steven was almost never at home, so she would gladly accompany Mrs. Karmelia to meals and snacks, offering her a pleasant company. As the months went by they became great friends and accomplices, watching soap operas together after Lucia finished doing her chores around the house.

One day Mr. Steven arrives home very drunk and while he staggered he was knocking down one thing or another in the living room until he could reach his office and sink again in alcohol. When Mrs. Steven goes to the office, the husband in a moment of anger throws the bottle of liquor at the wall almost close to his wife's head, causing a scratch or two on her left cheek. The Mrs. frightened that her husband would return to such an act, ran away for fear that something much worse would happen, since Steven does not measure his actions and the least he does is to respect his wife when he is drunk.

Lucia when she heard everything came out of the kitchen and as soon as she saw Karmelia with a wound on her face, she looked for the house phone and called the police and when Steven was leaving to take Karmelia by force, Lucia grabbed a broom and hit him several times on his back until he stumbled and they had the opportunity to escape to the gate of the big house with her friend and wait for the police.

Eventually Karmelia got a divorce from Steven and went with her great friend to live in another city, where they were calm, peaceful and took care of and defended each other.

I covered this topic in one of my recent posts and I am in favor of it too. You, unfortunately, like me, have experienced first hand what it means to see your loved one literally dying every single day and the period was a huge struggle, especially for your grandmother. I'm really sorry and my condolences. I hope one day we'll get there, to get euthanasia legalized.

Totally my friend, not everyone understands this subject, but when you see someone important to you suffer, you understand it perfectly.
