Feliz domingo comunidad glotona de hive, las comidas con vegetales y color suelen ser de mis preferidas, el pasado domingo tuve un día libre del trabajo y decidí prepararme una comida rica, pero aunque sea rica no significa que pasé horas en la cocina, es una preparación práctica que no toma muchos minutos, inicié por hacer un arroz con vegetales lleno de sabor, acompañé con un pedazo de calabresa y maíz hervido, que feliz me hace degustar comidas deliciosas, y sin dudas este almuerzo lo fue, sigue leyendo para conocer más sobre la receta.
Happy Sunday, foodie community on Hive! Meals with vegetables and color are usually my favorites. Last Sunday, I had a day off from work and decided to make myself a delicious meal. But just because it's delicious doesn't mean I spent hours in the kitchen. It's a practical dish that doesn't take long to prepare. I started by making a flavorful rice with vegetables, accompanied by a piece of calabresa sausage and boiled corn. It makes me so happy to enjoy delicious meals, and this lunch was definitely one of them. Keep reading to learn more about the recipe.



INGREDIENTES:

1 taza de arroz, 1 zanahoria, 1 cebolla, 2 dientes de ajo, orégano, sal, pimienta, manteca de puerco, 1 calabresa, 2 maíz, abundante agua.
1 cup of rice, 1 carrot, 1 onion, 2 cloves of garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, lard, 1 calabresa sausage, 2 corn cobs, plenty of water.

Primero lavé y corté la cebolla, la zanahoria la rallé, coloqué una cucharada de manteca en una olla previamente calentada, añadí los vegetales cortados y sofreí un par de minutos.
First, I washed and chopped the onion, grated the carrot, placed a tablespoon of butter in a preheated pan, added the chopped vegetables, and sautéed them for a couple of minutes.


Añadí la zanahoria rallada, sazoné a gusto con sal, orégano y pimienta, añadí el arroz, dejé sofreír un par de minutos antes de incorporar las 2 tazas de agua.
I added the grated carrot, seasoned to taste with salt, oregano, and pepper, added the rice, and let it sauté for a couple of minutes before adding the 2 cups of water.


Dejé cocinar a fuego medio hasta secar el agua y el arroz estar complemente cocido.
I let it cook over medium heat until the water had evaporated and the rice was completely cooked.


Precalenté un sartén, dividí la calabresa y la coloqué en el sartén, cociné hasta dorar, el maíz simplemente lo herví hasta estar suave.
I preheated a frying pan, divided the calabresa sausage and placed it in the pan, cooking it until browned. I simply boiled the corn until tender.









What did you think of this lunch? A different option to share on a Sunday, that day of the week when we want to do everything except cook. The lard gives the rice a delicious flavor. Sauté the vegetables and then add the seasonings for a rice dish full of flavor. You can accompany it with the protein of your choice, but in keeping with the theme of not spending hours in the kitchen, I opted for calabresa sausage.
