January 13, 2022--II. Offertory from Dominica II post Epiphanium from L'Orgue Mystique Op. 55 by Charles Tournemire
I didn't take on the offertory from Epiphany I from the L'Orgue Mystique because it was a bit daunting. However, the offertory from Epiphany II was a little more approachable. The chant move through a variety of voices through this work. It is heard first in the upper Gamba and Flute 8' with a flute 4' before moving down into the Great Manual with a flute 8'. The second part of the chant is heard on the Great Manual with the registration Flute 8' and Terz 1 3/5' combination to simulate a clarinet sound. At the end, the return of the chant in the Swell division brings about the end of the work. I hope you enjoy it, even with the little fumble in the middle section.
