November 26, 2021--Chorale Prelude on Nun Komm der Heiden Heiland BWV 599 from Orgelbuchlein by JS Bach

First Sunday in Advent brings back another favorite of mine--Bach's Chorale prelude on Nun Komm der Heiden Heiland. The chorale tune is heard in the upper register of the organ while there is a three part polyphony occurring under it. I went for a combination of the reflective and joyful in my registration in this recording--I did use a Principal 8' stop combined with a Gemshorn 8' and Gemshorn Celeste 8' in the manuals with a subbass 16' and Principal 8' in the pedals.
