Peak Experiences - My 5 Minutes a day #63

Greetings to all. Again I apologize for not posting as frequently as I did a few weeks ago. I am currently expanding my knowledge and taking some courses.
However, this doesn't have to be a bad thing. It just means that there will be many more posts in the future ;)
The topic I want to talk about today is a problem that many people suffer from. This occurs when you have been following the same habits for a long time and think that you cannot change for the better.
However, that best version of you is not far away. You just have to redefine your goals, know who you want to be in the future and work to achieve this.
Although it may sound very simple, this is not the only part of the equation. Sometimes we can find ourselves in such a serious state of paralysis that planning will not be enough. The only thing that will move the balance in your favor will be to take action, and not just any type of action, this is:
Any type of action that really brings you closer to your goals.
This is where the concept of power moves comes in. Power moves are simply bold actions that we take to begin to redefine our identity based on our goals.
If, for example, your goal is to be a doctor, your first power move may be to take a nursing course or educate yourself on the subject.
By taking this, you begin to form a new vision of yourself and get positive dopamine as you find yourself one step closer to your goals.
This is not just limited to your career. If your future self has friends who want the best for him/her and who have the same goals, a power move could be to move to an address that is not too far away, but that can put you away from the reach of negative influences that may be leading your life. life down a bad path.
That said, take into account what new actions you can apply to your life. In this way you can introduce a little uncertainty and let yourself know that you are working for a better you, which will give you greater confidence and let you know that you are much more than you think.
