Be Healthy, Determined, and Respectful: Keys to a Successful Life

This post was supposed to be published in the weekend experience community. This last #weekend-engagement concept was special because it was the third anniversary of the weekend-engagement concept.

Among the topic prompts, I chose to write about three meaningful words from the list of the many words mentioned. Even though my entry is late, I thought I'd publish it since I've already written it.

Health

I am on the list of people who hardly fall ill, but does that mean I should neglect my health and live my life anyhow? Of course, the answer is no.

During the period I was still working at the gym as a gym instructor, I always starved myself from morning till I returned home at night.

My boss noticed the behavior and warned me about ulcers. Although I knew about ulcers, all I was thinking about was how to hit my target. I did this to save money for a rental apartment. This brings me to my next point, which is about health. We need to prioritize our health first before anything else.

Do you know that the most wealthy person can become the poorest in the blink of an eye due to illness?

This makes me remember my cousin who died. Despite all the money we spent on medical treatment, she still died. We don't know what led her to develop kidney disease, but it probably could have been prevented if it was noticed early.

No matter what we do, we need to do what's best for our health at the right time.

Before I stopped working at the gym as an instructor, I made sure to try to always have breakfast no matter how little.

Now that I work from home, I still sometimes skip breakfast, but I am conscious of the fact that I have to eat to avoid ulcer. I now try to make sure I have a healthy breakfast every morning, even if it's just a smoothie or a bowl of cereal. I also make sure to stay hydrated throughout the day, as this helps to reduce the risk of getting an ulcer. Eating a balanced diet is also important, as it helps to boost my energy levels and keep me healthy.

Another exercise good for our health and brain is sleep.

No matter how strong we think we might be, we can't be stronger than sleep. Sleep helps us to restore body and mind and allows us to stay focused and productive. A lack of sleep can lead to serious health issues and can cause us to struggle to concentrate and think clearly. Therefore, getting enough sleep should be a priority for everyone.

For me, I can't do anything productive until I nap and sleep.

The mind and body need sleep, nutritious food and exercise.

Determination

I have known myself to be a lady who never looks back until a goal is achieved. When I am determined to get something, I do all I can to get it, and I don't relax until I achieve it. I don't like to give up, no matter how difficult something may be. I never give in to failure and always push forward. I believe that with enough effort, anything is possible.

For instance, on Friday last week, a friend of mine asked me if I would love to claim some dollars. She told me that most of my NFT friends are claiming it. She also emphasized the fact that it may or may not work.

After expressing my interest in it, she sent me the procedures I followed.

It is a limited airdrop where participants can claim $1 every 20 minutes. And before a withdrawal can be done, one needs a minimum of $250

I knew I would easily lose track of time, so I had to set an alarm to remind me when to claim the airdrop.

When the alarm rings, I go to claim it and snooze it for another 20 minutes. I have been doing this since Friday last week. When the alarm rings in the middle of the night, I wake up to claim. So far, I have claimed $150.

If I am not determined to get to $250 as soon as I can, I will not set an alarm. I will always feel reluctant to wake up at night to claim and even when the alarm rings, I may not mind it.

So, to me, determination is simply staying focused and avoiding distractions until a goal is achieved. I understand that determination is not just about setting an alarm, but also about being consistent and having the right mindset. It’s about taking the necessary steps to achieve a goal, no matter the challenges. Finally, having a positive attitude and believing in yourself is also very important.

Respect

One simple definition of the word respect is that it is reciprocal. You receive what you give.

Respect can be incorporated into almost every aspect of life. It is a way of showing appreciation and recognition for people and their contributions.

It can be demonstrated by being mindful of other people's feelings and opinions, treating everyone with kindness and courtesy, and recognizing others' accomplishments.

Also, it is important to practice self-respect by being mindful of your own needs and treating yourself with kindness and understanding.

In addition to all that has been mentioned above, respect is an important value that I strive to instil in my life and those around me.

I believe that respect for others leads to a more harmonious and productive environment, and is necessary for building meaningful relationships.

Respect also helps me be more self-aware and better understand others' perspectives.

Health is the most important thing, if we have it we can do anything we want, adding some effort and enthusiasm.
A combination of physical exercise and a healthy diet is key.
