Para mí, nada hay más lejos de nuestra cotidianidad que las matemáticas, en el sentido de que en nuestro día a día a veces nos conseguimos con cosas que están más allá de una planificación, concretamente cosas que no están en nuestras manos, cosas que suceden y que con frecuencia connotamos como cuestión de suerte, la cual en ocasiones nos sonríe pero en otras no.

Por otra parte, también es verdad que "el hecho de, no implica que", pues, sí existen ciertas fórmulas que si aplicamos a nuestro cotidiano existir nos darán resultados más o menos previsibles. Una de estas fórmulas es el título que encabeza este post, el cual está inspirado del libro "La Buena Suerte" de Alex R. Celma y Fernando Trias de Bea, que muy amablemente fue recomendado como libro de lectura en esta comunidad por @irvinc

Una de las ideas principales que desde el principio este libro quiere dejar muy clara es que no es lo mismo la suerte que la Buena Suerte, ya que mientras la primera no depende de nosotros, la segunda está completamente en nuestras manos, porque es lo que nos toca hacer en cada momento y situación para que todo funcione lo mejor posible.

Precisamente como la suerte no depende de nosotros, cuando solo esperamos con los brazos cruzados a que esta llegue no encuentra las condiciones adecuadas para echar raíces en nuestras vidas y se marcha, en cambio, si esta nos encuentra preparados esta hará una sinergia con nuestra disposición y es cuando podemos empezar a cosechar los éxitos. En este sentido la suerte comparada con una semilla que cae en todo terreno, pero que en unos da fruto y en otros no, es magnífica.

Siguiendo la imagen de esa semilla que es esparcida en todo terreno, me gustaría resumir y aplicar algunas de las enseñanza de este libro en lo que uno de los personajes (Sid) hace para que la semilla de la suerte en él no pase de largo, sino que se convierta en Buena Suerte, porque si hay una idea que muy claramente quieren con esta pequeña historia transmitir los autores es que la buena suerte se crea, no es cuestión de azar. Así pues, las acciones o pasos que nos disponen para que esto sea así, según unas imágenes muy sugerentes son:

• Renovar la tierra. A veces lo que nos puede faltar en la vida es un poco más de valentía para asumir ciertos riesgos que nos encaminen a cosas más grandes que las que incluso podemos imaginar. Remover un poco las costumbres que tenemos, el modo de hacer las cosas, el no dejarnos engañar con la frase "Es que siempre lo he hecho así", sino más bien probar caminos diferentes para encontrarnos con resultados diversos, algunos de los cuales serán los indicados.

• Canalizar el agua. Hay que darle frescura a nuestras ideas, hay que refrescar nuestras fuerzas. Muchas veces, esto no lo conseguimos dentro de nosotros sino cuando somos capaces de salir un poco de nuestro metro cuadrado y estar dispuesto a ayudar también a los demás, ya que nuestros problemas pueden ser su solución, así como a la inversa, sus problemas nuestra solución, esa agua que lo que tiene que ser es canalizada para que todos seamos beneficiados. Es la idea de la frase "En la unión está la fuerza" y añadimos "el camino a la 'Buena' Suerte".

• Limpiar las ramas. Este paso me encanta porque muchas veces necesitamos una limpieza en nuestras vidas, esta es semejante a la que necesita un árbol, lo cual es cortar las ramas secas y viejas para que nazcan unas verdes y nuevas, con mayor vigor. Lo que pasa es que nos cuesta desprendernos de ciertas cosas o situaciones, pero que si revisamos es lo que nos impide que el sol nos pegue y nos dé esa nueva vida que necesitamos. Como una vez me dijeron "Si no nos desprendemos de lo viejo, de lo que ya no sirve, ¿Cómo llegará lo nuevo, lo que realmente es útil?"

• Quitar las piedras. Hay semillas que por crecer en terreno pedregoso, no tienen las fuerzas necesarias en sus raíces para madurar lo suficientemente, a veces nosotros también tenemos piedras en nuestro camino de vida que no nos permiten llegar al nivel que quisiéramos, ya sea en nuestro trabajo, en la familia, a nivel personal, etc. Y es que podemos estar bien, pero siempre podemos mejorar.

Por eso, como una herramienta imprescindible para crear la buena suerte en nuestras vidas y que este libro la resalta en varias ocasiones tenemos a la imaginación, lo cual sería hacernos preguntas como: ¿En qué situación me encuentro actualmente?, ¿Dónde quiero llegar?... Pues, manos a la obra, "Depende de nosotros."

On the other hand, it is also true that "the fact of, does not imply that", because, yes, there are certain formulas that if we apply to our daily existence will give us more or less predictable results. One of these formulas is the title that heads this post, which is inspired by the book "La Buena Suerte" by Alex R. Celma and Fernando Trias de Bea, which was kindly recommended as a book to read in this community by @irvinc.

One of the main ideas that from the beginning this book wants to make very clear is that luck is not the same as Good Luck, because while the first does not depend on us, the second is completely in our hands, because it is what we have to do in every moment and situation so that everything works as well as possible.

Precisely as luck does not depend on us, when we just wait with our arms crossed for it to arrive it does not find the right conditions to take root in our lives and leaves, on the other hand, if it finds us prepared it will make a synergy with our disposition and that is when we can begin to reap success. In this sense, luck, compared to a seed that falls in every field, but that bears fruit in some and not in others, is magnificent.

Following the image of that seed that is scattered in every field, I would like to summarize and apply some of the teachings of this book in what one of the characters (Sid) does so that the seed of luck in him does not pass by, but becomes Good Luck, because if there is an idea that the authors very clearly want to convey with this little story is that good luck is created, it is not a matter of chance. Thus, the actions or steps that we have to take to make this happen, according to some very suggestive images are:

• Renew the earth. Sometimes what we may lack in life is a little more courage to take certain risks that lead us to greater things than we can even imagine. Stir a little bit the habits we have, the way we do things, not letting ourselves be fooled by the phrase "I have always done it this way", but rather trying different paths to find different results, some of which will be the right ones.

• Channel the water. We must give freshness to our ideas, we must refresh our forces. Many times, this is not achieved within ourselves but when we are able to go out of our square meter and be willing to help others as well, since our problems can be their solution, as well as the other way around, their problems our solution, that water that has to be channeled so that we all benefit. It is the idea of the phrase "In union there is strength" and we add "the way to 'Good' Luck".

• Clean the branches. I love this step because many times we need a cleaning in our lives, this is similar to what a tree needs, which is to cut the dry and old branches so that new and green ones are born, with more vigor. What happens is that it is hard for us to let go of certain things or situations, but if we review them, it is what prevents the sun from hitting us and giving us the new life we need. As I was once told "If we don't get rid of the old, of what is no longer useful, how will the new, what is really useful, arrive?"

• Remove the stones. There are seeds that, because they grow on rocky ground, do not have the necessary strength in their roots to mature sufficiently, sometimes we also have stones in our path of life that do not allow us to reach the level we would like, either in our work, family, personal level, etc.. And the fact is that we can be fine, but we can always improve.

Therefore, as an essential tool to create good luck in our lives and that this book highlights on several occasions we have the imagination, which would be to ask ourselves questions like: What is my current situation?, where do I want to get to? Well, let's get to work, "It's up to us."
