EK Owen 150cc 2024 Morocycle // Review (English/Spanish)
A loving greeting to all my Hive friends. It gives me great pleasure to be with you on this opportunity in the Hive Motors community. It's my first time in this niche, but I wanted to come to celebrate the best thing that has happened to me this year, and that is that together with my partner we have acquired a new motorcycle.
It is an EK Owen 2024, from the Venezuelan assembly plant Empire Keeway. This is one of the most loved motorcycles nationwide. In addition to being very affordable machines. The EK Owen 2024 is a small motorcycle. Its dimensions comprise a width of 80cm, a length of 1.97m, a height of 1.11m and 1.28m wheelbase.
From the factory it comes in 3 color options: black with vinotint, blue with gray and red with black. In my case I chose the black with vinotint. It is a beautiful bike, since 2023 the EK Owen comes with a much more ergonomic design.
Now let's talk about the most important thing, the engine. At 150cc it has a power output of 8.2kw at 8000 RPM. It has a wonderful vibration reduction so you don't feel it at all, it's like floating. Its cooling system is through air, that's why the slits on the outside to dissipate the heat.
The gearbox has 5 speeds and has a double gearshift to operate it with both the toe and the heel. The fuel tank is 10L and only 1L of 4-stroke oil is needed. Like many bikes from 2023 onwards the owen 2024 also comes with a USB port for cell phone charging and a beautiful digital dashboard.
This is the first time I have owned a motorcycle of this type but I am very excited. In a short time we have done a lot of riding and we hope to continue to do a lot of riding/adventures. Although it is a low displacement bike, it has been highly recommended to us because it belongs to the Empire Keeway factory. It is the bike we need, especially now that we are learning to ride a motorcycle. And the price seemed fair, we paid only 1180$.

Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive. Me da mucho gusto estar con ustedes en esta oportunidad en la comunidad Hive Motors. Es mi primera vez en este nicho, pero quise venir a celebrar lo mejor que me ha podido pasar este año y es que junto a mi pareja hemos adquirido una nueva motocicleta.
Se trata de una EK Owen 2024, de la fábrica ensambladora venezolana Empire Keeway. Esta es una de las motocicletas más queridas a nivel nacional. Además de ser unas máquinas son muy accesibles a nivel económico. La EK Owen 2024 es una moto pequeña. Sus dimensiones comprenden un ancho de 80cm, una longitud de 1.97m, una altura de 1.11m y 1.28m de distancia entre los ejes.
De fábrica viene 3 opciones de colores: Negro con vinotinto, azul con gris y roja con negro. En mi caso escogí la negra con vinotinto. Es una moto preciosa, desde el 2023 la EK Owen viene con un diseño mucho más ergonómico.
Ahora hablemos de lo más importante, el motor. Con 150cc tiene una potencia de 8.2kw a 8000 RPM. Tiene una reducción de vibración maravillosa así que no se siente para nada, es como ir flotando. Su sistema de enfriamiento es a través de aire, por eso las rendijas en la parte exterior para disipar el calor.
La caja tiene 5 velocidades y cuanta con una palanca de cambios doble para accionarla tanto con la punta del pio como con el talón. El tanque de combustible es de 10L y necesitan tan solo 1L de aceite de 4 tiempos. Como muchas motos a partir del año 2023 la owen 2024 también trae puerto USB para cargar el celular y un hermoso tablero digital.
Es la primera vez que tengo una motocicleta de este tipo pero estoy muy emocionada. En poco tiempo hemos rodado mucho y esperamos seguir realizando muchas moto/aventuras. A pesar de ser una moto de bajo cilindraje nos fue muy recomendada por pertenecer a la fábrica Empire Keeway. Es la moto que necesitamos, más en estos momentos que estamos aprendiendo a conducir motocicleta. Y el precio nos parecio justo, pagamos tan solo 1180$.
Espero disfruten de este post, lo he hecho con mucho gusto para compartirles esta adorable moto que he adquirido y que recomiendo tremendamente para quienes están empezado en el mundo de las motos y quieren comenzar con algo pequeño para pasear y disfrutar del camino.
