#POBphotocontest: White Statue of Rizal

Good evening my fellow dear hivers

I want to share and participate before it ends now to @friendlymoose in his weekly #POBphotocontest in new round and that is STATUE.

Statue of our Philippine National Hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal

This was located here in Morong, Bataan infront of an Old Church and Municipality.
I was amazed by his statue because of its color that is painted white. In other statue I see before is always gray, bronze or brown. But this one is white. Someone told me it represents for peace that's why it is white.

Our national hero is of great influence — not only in the Philippines, but also globally. It’s unsurprising that several countries celebrate Dr. Jose Rizal’s life through the numerous monuments around the world erected in his honour.

One of the most famous Rizal monuments stands in Madrid, Spain.

Rizal himself had several travel experiences. He made his way to Singapore, Sri Lanka, Yemen, Italy, France, Spain, and more. So, it's only fitting that the world remembered him for his intellectualism and political activism.

If you find a statue of him in your country, you can share it in the comment section.

Thanks for reading until here. Have a blessed sunday everyone. See you around.

Smile,
@jewelsofaura

wow! yah I totally agree this is the first time I've seen his statue painted in white. He is indeed a very noble man, thinking of his country and dying for it.
