Hello dear #Hive and #gems community, right now I want to introduce you to one of the tasks I do in my family house; as is the care and raising of chickens. As well as I will also talk about how I have, according to the breed of chicken, eggs of different colors. Join me on the short tour in this publication of my poultry farm.

"The Official Presentation"

First of all, I want to introduce you to some of the protagonists of this post whose race I will explain to you, among other things.

1°.The pimp rooster

This rooster is a mixture of the Jersey breeds with the Brazilian Brahma, predominating in the mas, the Jersey blood. He is currently one year and three months old and is the only adult male on the farm since some of his descendants are still small. He is about 75cms tall and weighs almost three kilos approximately. He has at his disposal the clan of hens that are about eight to breed. In his breed, he can follow the growth process up to two years.

2°. The alpha hen

This is the hen of choice for the rooster, since both were raised together as a couple and are the same age. She is a mix between the Araucana breed with the Marans and her tail is characteristic because it is painted black, she is always the one that prevails over the other hens and chases them to peck them if they are new to the farm. It measures approximately 55cms and weighs about two and a half kilos, she is the one that lays the green eggs, sometimes being these, or lighter or darker. In the days of laying she usually lays alone, from about 10 to 13 eggs; which are of a size proportional to the height of the hen.

3°.The laying hen

This hen is also known as the Leghorn breed and is the most used for commercial purposes by the poultry industries. In my house I have two who are sisters and because of their age, which is about nine months, they have already been laying eggs for a month. These eggs are brown in color and proportional in size to them, one of the characteristics of this breed is that they do not usually get their chicks enculecaros or take out their chicks, that is why on my farm we place their eggs in the Creole hens that we have and that they are good mothers. That is why they are not very good mothers and in fact that is the reason why their eggs are more commercial, since with a stimulating food they lay unfertilized eggs, without having to have the rooster.

4°.The creole hen

This is one of the Creole hens that I have on my farm, one of its most outstanding characteristics is how good mothers they are and depending on their size, they usually lay between 7 to 10 eggs, and once they are with their chicks, they are them or adopted; They are very aggressive when it comes to taking care of them from any danger. But as long as they are not breeding, they are very docile and even trainable. Their eggs are white and small due to their size proportion.

5°. My future chicks and the smallest of the litter

Something characteristic of fertilized eggs and those for commercial use is their texture, yolk color, smell and nutrients. Specifically, the eggs that are not fertilized by the rooster and are to be sold at the time of frying expand more in the pan, while a fertilized one, commonly known as creoles, when cooked instead of expanding in the pan, are collected; that is, they have more consistency than an industrial egg. Therefore, its demand is a little more expensive than that of the eggs that we usually buy in any supermarket or store, since nutritionally speaking, they are better for health.

¡The breeding of these birds is an advantage!

This is an affirmation, since in view of the fact that there are changes and economic instabilities in the world, having food at home for the family is super advantageous. In addition, you can also negotiate the eggs and meat of these birds, so that your investment, time and energy will not be lost. In my case, we are in full production of eggs so that when they are born they can be used for sale and also for eating. This is a wise investment recommended especially in countries where there is a lot of economic instability, as in our case.
