Dining in Molly Bistro a Southeast Asian fusion restaurant in Bohol was a delightful and unique experience that combines the island's natural beauty with a diverse culinary adventure. It was our last day, and my husband decided that we have an early lunch before we head on to the port. As we step into the restaurant, we were greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance that reflects the laid-back atmosphere of Bohol. The menu was an exciting fusion of flavors from various Asian cuisines, offering a wide array of dishes. Being located in a coastal region, the restaurant takes advantage of Bohol's fresh seafood, incorporating it into creative and mouthwatering dishes. Additionally, the restaurant likely features tropical ingredients and local produce, adding a touch of Bohol's culinary flair to the fusion experience.
We started our meal with mozzarella sticks as our appetizer, and they arrived drizzled with delectable cheese sauce, providing an excellent combination of crispy texture and creamy flavor. It was the perfect way to kick off our dining experience!
Moving on to the main course, we opted for the Tamarind Soy Pompano, which was fried to perfection and served with tamarind soy puree. Additionally, we tried the Pesto Pork Chop, marinated and pan-grilled in pesto sauce, accompanied by a side of Farmer potatoes. To complement our meal, we also ordered a seafood soup featuring fresh sea crab, shrimp, squid, and cream dory fish, all cooked in a flavorful Bouillabaisse Sauce. And of course, I couldn't resist satisfying my Bagoong rice craving, so we added a platter of it to our order.
For drinks, we chose the restaurant's bestseller, the mango Boba shake, made with fresh mango fruit, fresh milk, and fructose. As for my husband, he opted for the peach melon smoothie, which turned out to be a refreshing choice.
The friendly and attentive service by the restaurant staff, known for their Filipino hospitality, ensures that you have a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a meat lover or a vegetarian, you'll find something to suit your taste, as many Southeast Asian fusion restaurants cater to various dietary preferences.
So, as you dine in this Asian fusion haven in Bohol, you not only savor the delightful mix of Asian flavors but also immerse yourself in the enchanting charm of the island's culture, making it an unforgettable dining experience amid paradise.
Overall, the dining experience was exceptional, and we enjoyed every bit of it!
