New Years, Hive Power Up Day and Monthly Goals

Happy New Years everyone. As usual, the first of the month is it means it's time for another Hive Power Up Day. It's the perfect time to start setting some goals for 2022. I did manage to reach all of my monthly goals in December so I think I closed out the end of the year on a good note.

Hive Power Up Day

More information about Hive Power Up Day (HPUD) can be found at the January HPUD by "@"traciyork. Last month wasn't that bad as I gained over 150 HP from my activity on the block chain.

My current HP before powering up is 2,178 and I plan on powering up 25 HIVE again this month. The results of this can be seen in the picture below and here is the transaction link. While I did consider increasing it, I am current trying to plan out how to use my HBD. So I would like to leave some HIVE incase I want to buy more Chaos Legion packs or Hive Engine tokens.

I have finished up the Saturday Saver's Challenge and you can see the final addition of X HBD. I collected 0.593 HBD as interest it is 21 cents more than last month.

Monthly Goals

Here I will set my goals for the month and review my previous month's goal.

Previous Month Summary

Here I will review the goals I set from my December goals.
leo power up.png

I staked the 100 LEO I needed to reach 1.6k Leo Power. I also bought 10 UTOPIS last month and got to a total of 70 staked UTOPIS. As I have shown above, my HP also reached my goal and I added 250 LEO to my CubFinance pile in this post.

January goals

I haven't decided what my yearly goals will be but this will be a kind of way to keep me accountable towards everything going on in HIVE.

  1. 3 Blog Posts a week (Actifit does not count for this)
  2. 1,000 comments for the month.
  3. 2350 HP
  4. 1,700 Leo Power Staked
  5. Buy 10 UTOPIS and stake it
  6. Invest at least 200 LEO to Cub Finance
  7. Maintain top 75 rank in Rising Star
  8. Finish Splinterlands quest daily

The first two and the last 2 should be things that are fully in my control. After all I can control how many posts or comments I make and anything related to the games is fully under my control. The comment goal means I should put in around 33 comments a day and I think I should be able to clear this without too many issues.

As for number 3 to 4, it's my usual HP and LP goal for the month. Even if it's not that much by people's standards, I want to make sure my account is still growing and my curation rewards will increase over time. Number 5 is my play on Defi and I want to build a big enough portfolio over at CubFinance to eventually increase my LEO staked on chain. Number 5 on my goals is basically my dividend token for the month. After all, nobody will refuse passive income right? I want at least 100 UTOPIS before considering a different token and I believe the project will do well long-term.

Conclusion

I have down my usual power up and set up some goals for the month. However, I was unable to decide which yearly goals I should set or how I should use my HBD sitting in my account. So I plan on figuring this out and comparing whether or not I prefer the diesel pools or if I prefer the savings for the 12% interest. Either way, both will be put to use to generate me more income and I want to weight both options before I finally decide.

What are your goals? Are you making good progress on them?

Please feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions or feedback.

Nice new year goals to make 2022 a great year.

I personally won't be setting any specific goals as things can be a little bit tricky when I set my mind to stuffs that are easily achievable or too hard to crack ones, the middle is where I find balance.

My goals this year is to up my hive game and mostly dive into everything possible going on here on hive no specific token or project but I'm sure I'm in for the long haul to be better than who I was last year.

I'll be competing with myself and reaching highest point possible.

Wish you a great one this year and I'm sure your goals will be attainable in no time.
Have a great day ahead

Good luck with uping your game. I suggest focusing on a few different projects and don't spread yourself out too thin. I feel my goals are attainable so long as I am consistent.

Sure that's another thing to always look out for, so as to not get too drained in the process.

That's a good advice. Thank you. Leo, nft gaming and mostly commenting shouldn't be much to get the ball rolling, at least am sure it's worth a try.

1,000 comments for the month.

Haha, I died when I saw this - hopefully, I can aim for this goal in the future. But right now, At least I can achieve 100 comments only.

1,000 comments a day is abut 33 comments a day. As of right now, I do more than that usually as my average is like 50. In a way, I am giving myself more of a buffer incase things happen.

The goals are interesting and I'm sure you are going to make it. 1000 comments is a lot, at least for my standards. If I reach 200-300 a month, I'm happy. Keep up the good work.

I guess it depends on how much time you spend on chain. As my job leads me to being stuck to my computer, I find it easier to just comment during my breaks. So I can usually rack up some comments without too many issues.

I'm also stuck most of the time on the computer, but can't use the same machine for work and private purpose. Also, I'm full with the load and need to focus.

Cool that you can, maybe I need to optimize my load.
