I think HBD can be big but there needs to be a lot more HBD first and when that happens, I don't think there will be a 20% APR anymore. However, I do like the 20% APR and maybe one of the Defi pools that LeoFinance creates will appeal more then. We also need way more people to use HBD and it's all predicated on making sure Hive is valuable.

You are correct for sure. The 20% at much higher levels of HBD circulating would cause massive inflation. Denying this makes no sense. Not to mention the dollar is loosing value so HBD is loosing value as long as it’s meant to represent USD.
