Splinterlands Sixth Season of 2023, Gladius Packs and SPS

The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I stayed in Silver rank for the entire season and collected a bunch of Silver chests for my own rewards. I was suppose to check before I finalize this but it depends on whether or not I can drop my CP far enough but I didn't have much time and I left it alone. I don't think I can drop my own enough and even if I did, it would require listing up way too many cards that I don't think it would be worth the effort.

Season Rewards

Compared to last season, my rewards look a bit worst. I got a larger variety of cards and the same number of packs. The amount of SPS decreased a lot though but the merits also decreased. Even the potions have decreased and I guess this is the difference between Silver and Gold chests even if I do get like 1.5 times the number of chests.

Gladius Packs

I was able to collect three packs this season which was the same as last time. I had some leftover and it's been almost a week since the last season ended. So it may have been only 2 packs if I did this post at the start of the season. Either way, I opened what I could and I got 2 rares and 1 epic cards. It just seems like the bare minimum so I don't consider this a great pack opening at all.

I was able to upgrade a few cards but most of the cards that I did upgrade, I had a gold foil versionof them. So it doesn't really add anything to my gameplay at all. However, I was able to upgrade Ajax lightfoot and I think I missed this card on the last report. It doesn't look like a bad card and the high speed is quite nice. So I am glad that I saw the upgrade now and it's always better late than never.

SPS

The SPS rewards is about the same as last time but I did wait a few days before I wrote up this post. An extra brawl got put into the rewards and those few extra days of modern focus chests made up for my bad SPS earnings in the seasonal rewards.

My pool rewards for the season is 160.281 SPS and I plan on staking all of this along with all of my staking rewards. As usual, I am staking my SPS and taking profits off of GLX. So nothing has really changed from last time. I used up quite a bit of my VOUCHERS on Vruz and I think I will be stocking up on them again. I was going to buy some DEC-B but when I checked today, it was all sold out. I guess the land surveying took out all of the supply.

Conclusion

Going forward, I will be sticking with the Silver League. Either way, I think the rewards are down but I am still happy to see at least a pack from my season rewards. The difference in earning from gold and silver is quite large. My strategy in regards to SPS hasn't changed and it does help me a bit in the new promo card purchase.
