Today I got to add another plant in my garden finally. But before that let me greet you a good evening and good morning to those in other side. It feels like I'm beside an aircon now grr.. It's been so cold again and it started just the other day. Since we are used to warm climate, when the temperature of the surrounding suddenly drops down like this, our movements outside are being limited. Well that's for those who are not used to it.

It rained last night so I planned to plant another vegetable called winged beans or cigarillas in my garden. I decided to plant them between my string beans since not all of them grow so there are slots without a plant.

My grandmother was the one who plant it first in a pale which she recycled. She did this because she don't want the seeds to be eaten by worms when directly planted in the soil. She successfully grown them and they grew well. Their vines climbed their temporary poles finely.

She told me before that I should plant them already because they are growing so fast but I said to her that we should wait longer. She's reminding me almost everyday about it and when I decided to plant it this day, the smile on her face was really wide. I'm happy about it also and for the plant to be transplanted in it's permanent place.

I decided to do it this afternoon since the temperature will go down as it reach the evening. I'm doing this technique whenever I'm transplanting a plant especially if their permanent place is widely open for the sun. My grandma grow a lot of winged beans but I already transplanted 4 of them and I will put the others near our house.

I went out to my garden with my grandma and cousin. As you can see in the photos below, the sun is still up and I'm worried that they might dried up but later on the sun set already.

This is the product that I'm looking forward to harvest soon. I'm hoping that it will not be infected by some pest.

After planting them I checked my string beans, the ones with the flowers that I shown here the other day and I'm happy to show you that they successfully developed into baby string beans. The others are blooming already and later on I'll harvest a lot. Crossed finger hihi.

What we had for lunch?

Today's dish for our lunch is very delicious since all the ingredients came fresh from the garden.

My grandma cooked it while I get the ingredients. It has only three and they are present in my garden so it's not a hassle to collect it.

First I dig some sweet potatoes and I'm glad that I found three of it. Second, I gathered some leaves of bitter gourd and malunggay or moringa.

Put them all together and you'll get a dish called buridibud in ilokano. The sweetness of the patatoes are balancing the bitterness from the bitter gourd which tastes good.

We enjoyed our lunch and our tummies were full. In the end I'm so grateful that my garden can produce the products we need to make a dish for our meal and thanks God for that.

To end this one I'll show you a photo that I took when we got home after planting those winged beans.

A treasure to have a garden and lunch from there! Home grown vegetables are the best one can prepare & consume :) I hope that the winged beans will give you the desired fruit!

There's nothing better than to prepare a food that comes from your garden which you poured so much effort in cultivating right.😊
I'm really hoping too.
